Does anyone know anything or have a Taylor T5 acoustic electric thin body. I was thinking about buying but have never seen them on Taylor website recently?

I know two major touring musicians who have them. Needless to say after touring with them once, the guitars are rather dusty. To each is their own, but that's just the info I've got.

I have played one before. They used to have them at Guitar Center, but I think they stopped carrying them.
I was not that impressed. The general consensus is that they sound okay as an acoustic and okay as an electric. Insert cliche here, jack of all trades, master of none type thing. Playing it feels more like an acoustic than an electric, and it doesn't sound particularly good. Actually, I thought Ovation's version sounded better (VXT or whatever it's called).
I was excited about them coming out, and I wanted one superficially for a while because I thought they were cool, but I wouldn't really recommend it unless you have a really specific purpose for it. It will not replace a real acoustic or a real electric.

Had one, and loved it. Just not IN LOVE with it. Hence I don't have it anymore. Wound up trading that and a Les Paul in for a nice Martin. I mean as has been said in here. It's a jack of all trades and a master of nothing. So it was like if I wanted to play my best acoustic, well it wasn't the T5. If I wanted to play my best electric, well it wasn't a T5. So even though it looked awesome, I just never played it that much.
