I have a really old mic, Optimus undirectional Dynamic Microphone and I'm trying to record with it using my computer. Plugged it in properly in the back port and I can't get any sound out of it. Any help ?

Did you go into Volume Control and turn up/unmute the Mic In channel?

If its a really old microphone, are you sure it works?
Are you sure the port in your computer works?

Are you able to plug the old microphone in somewhere else and it work, and plug a different microphone into the computer and have it work?
