OMG! Just got back from Game 4 of the devils vs canes game. 4-3 canes! Jusi Joikenen with .2 seconds left.

Brodeur had time to set up position, i see how you can argue goalie interference, but he was so far out of the crease! still an amazing game, and yes i just got home, the roof came off the RBC, my roommate and I go to about 10 or 12 games a year and as many Canes playoff games as we can with our college budget. My roommates from Detroit and grew up playing hockey, and my dad and I have been going to cane's games since b4 the RBC was built and we had to travel an hour to see them play in greensboro. Best Finish to a game I've ever seen, and I have seen the Gomez, Stall exchange in '06, Daniel Evens prayer against BC on Sept. 23rd 2006, and Game 7 of the 06 Cup Finals vs Edmonton.

It doesn't matter how far out Brodeur is - the rule says it all.

Rule 69.4 Contact Outside the Goal Crease - If an attacking player initiates any contact with a goalkeeper, other than incidental contact, while the goalkeeper is outside his goal crease, and a goal is scored, the goal will be disallowed.

well, i'm going with barry melrose on this one, he even agrees, it was incidental contact as both players were trying to establish position. Still an amazing game.

that was heartbreaking too - but this one really ripped my heart out tonight.

I dont know how the Devils can bounce back - Game 5 should be interesting.

it doesn't matter what Melrose says....the rule book > melrose.

It was a terrible non-call that may have cost the Devils the series.

yeah, i thought game 3 would be tough to bounce back from but some how the NHL has managed to create a nice little hockey town in Raleigh, NC. The Devils and Canes play some of the best series, its an awesome little under the radar rivalry. Glad to see some ants who are invested in this series/hockey playoffs. My voice is about gone, the roof was rockin' tonight, 3rd loudest I've ever heard it.
1st- Game 7 vs Edmonton
2nd- NC State vs UNC Basketball Feb 07 [pack won!]
3rd- Game 3 vs NJ
4th- Gomez/Stall Game

I agree--the Devils-Canes is definitely a rivalry in my eyes.

That crowd in Carolina can sure get loud too.

While I'll agree the Devils put themselves in this position tonight by not showing up for the first 40 minutes, I don't like the non-call that decided the game.

well with about 3 minutes to go rutuu got pulled down and the boarding call on cole was questionable at best. I think it evened out in the end. Carolina played a better game tonight overall and won, and NJ definitely outplayed the Canes in Game 3 and got the OT Winner

Looks like Boston is in for a series. Can't wait for Wednesday and Friday Night. Lets go Canes!
