Great post, love this song.

Does anyone know if Dave plays a 12 string on this on the album. The first few times I heard it I've thought it was but now with the capo at 8 I'm thinking maybe not?

Anyway, again great post. (inverted :thumbsdow)

(where did all the other posts in this area go? House cleaning I guess?)

Thanks man

I'm pretty sure Dave plays this on the gryphon (which is the tiny 12-string) tuned down a step. It definitely sounds like a 12-string on the album so thats my guess

also, its completely possible that he played his regular 12-string with a capo on the 8th fret, cause thats exactly what I did in the video. It's unlikely, but entirely possible

just keep you ring ringer on the 3rd fret of the b-string. I shouldn't move throughout the entire song. During the opening riff, just strum that note and the open g-string

no, I was there for the first 4-week summer session, but I'm at home now up in Kankakee. I'd be down for a little jam in the fall though

cool, yeah i know a lot of dmb songs and it looks like you do too. would you be interested in tryin to set up a d&tesque cover set? I'm no singer so I'd have to try to step into TRs shoes. i'm trying to throw myself out there in front of people to get used to it and meet people, because I hope to get a band together as soon as I can. Are you goin to alpine or deer creek?

sweet, should be alot of fun. now i'm no TR, but i've got my own style that i'm proud of. yeah i'll be at alpine and tinley for sure. My boss knows the guy who owned the place @ tinley when it was the tweeter center, got the hook up from him and is taken us. apparently the tickets say "owner" where the row and seat would be. not sure on deer creek either. sending friend request...

Well, I am not looking for any sort of D&T thing. I am trying to do something by taking originals and covers and adding ideas from everyone to create a more unique sound.

I see, it would be hard to get somethin goin other than a 1 time jam at alpine, or perhaps @ tinley as well. do you have an account on indabamusic.com? it is an awesome website that allows you to collaborate via the internet.

I don't think I will make it to Alpine this year, which is the only place I can go to see a DMB show. Unless my cousin scrounges up money to get some tickets, I don't have money for it (or transportation).

I have never heard of indabamusic. I'll check it out.
