Set Up: Went to the show with my two best friends. One just broke up with his girlfriend (Referred to as F1) and the other came with his wife (Referred to as F2). My wife had to work, so I was flying solo.

As soon as The Hold Steady left the stage, I get text from F2's wife (they were in the pavilion, we were on the lawn), who has family in the meteorological field. "Rain may come in around 8:30, but good chance you'll stay dry."

30 seconds later, the rain came pouring down. Loved it anyway.

PNP-> Rapunzel: Good opener, I was in a good mood.
Stay or Leave: Texted "Holy Shit" to all my friends.
Cornbread: To all the Cornbread Haters, the crowd went nuts, the band was having a great time, and I loved it. If you hate the song, please feel free to not comment. I really do not care if you hate the song.
#41: Jeff Coffin was off his ass during this song
Crash: F1 and I both decide to run to the bathroom. F1's psycho ex decided to stake out the bathroom, waiting for us to show up. I'm not sure how she knew which bathroom we were going for, but she'd spent the entire show to that point standing there.

LITHOG: After much glaring on my part, F1 trying to be nice, and me telling lie after lie just to try and get this dense, psychotic bitch to go away, she finally leaves to find some friends she came with to come where we're standing.

We promptly moved.

I can only assume she spent the rest of the show looking for us, and that's sad.

Alligator Pie: Decided we'd spent too much time in one place and moved around the lawn again lest psycho find us. I recommend to F1 that he get a restraining order.
Encore: The Stairway Interpolation was fucking awesome. First the chords from the guitar solo, and then Dave freakin sings the entire last verse.

After Show: F2's wife almost snagged a setlist, said the encore originally was Rye Whiskey, BDTH, Watchtower.

Cant' wait for tomorrow night, going to bed.

Hey, got into an accident after the show and the person who smashed into us from behind took off like a coward. Did anyone see anything on 22/30east that might help us out in finding this person? Any info would be helpful.

Sorry, didn't see the accident.

Did not want to get up this early, but hunger motivated me to get out of bed.

Mmmmmmmm, raisin bran.

Anyway, sorry about the focus on psycho girl, it was just too funny to me not to pass along.

More Show:
F1 called Granny as the opener in the parking lot, so he was almost right.
The crowd was very good, everyone around us seemed to know the lyrics to the new and old stuff.

Spaceman and Seven were definite highlights for me, my two favorites off of BW at the moment.

People were still buzzing about the Phish show there on Thursday and I saw a lot of Phish shirts. F2 was one of those people and said afterward Dave's show was much better than he had hoped it would be because "Dave had a lot to live up to after that Phish show on Thursday."

Sorry that happened to you, unfortunately I only saw the aftermath and the cops confronting some shirtless guy that was running down the side of the road a little past the accident. I hope everyone is alright.

That was you? That sucks. We passed you, took forever though cause traffic was held up, and I was wondering why I only saw one car. Sorry to hear that though.

Same here. That really sucks man. I saw no sign of the other car. Hope you're ok otherwise.

Solid show last night!:thumbsup

Here's to a great one tonight!

Psycho Update: She called F1 on Saturday to say he "ruined" her night. Of course, she's the one who spent the whole show stalking us.

God was N2 Awesome. I'm going to Blossom next month and don't know what to expect now.

Neither were sold out. There were a good bit of empty seats in the back 3 or 4 rows of the pavilion both nights and the lawn wasn't packed on N1 (but was on N2).

But it was a big crowd. Probably only a few hundred full of being packed on N2 and a bit more on N1 when the lawn wasn't as packed.

I went to both shows
they each had their moments
but i thought the crowd and the band were really into night one
what a set list.
Tim is amazing. Carter is Unbelievable.
I love the Bridge intros into different songs. Thats really goofy, and it never disappoints.

Two step night 2 was sick. Great shows

I'd say N1 was about 3/4 full with the weather probably chasing some people away who might have come up and bought tickets on site.

N2 was probably 98% full. You couldn't get many more in there.

This was my thirteenth Dave show (12 DMB, 1 D&T). '96 was my big year, seeing D&T in Bloomington, and then DMB in Cincy, Atlanta, and Lexington.

I'd rate this show def. in my top 5, maybe #4.

I saw the Phish show the night before, and DMB kicked their ass.

Probably should have stayed around and caught N2. But, this show def. re-energized my interest in DMB (which had been flagging since '00).

My only complaint: I was almost sick & tired of hearing DMB by show-time. Camped out at Bennett Acres and almost every car around our site was jamming DMB all day (from 11 am onwards!). I can respect y'alls dedication to Dave, but jeeez!

i must agree with the op re: cornbread. I really enjoyed it on N1. You're right, it seems the band did as well.
