Check out this band. A guy from my home town has a band called the JB Roberts Band. The lead singer, JB Roberts is the songwriter. The lead guitar player is a very good friend of mine, the one and only Ben Fox from Brantley, AL. He has taught me a TON on the guitar.
The sax player, coincidentally named LeRoy, is pretty darn good. Had some Leroi feel in some of his licks. This particular solo is short, but it's still good. Check him out toward the end. They have a few CD's out through their website, I'll try to find the link if anyone is interested.

They play all over the place. Here is their myspace with show dates. He's been playing music since he left college about 5 or 6 years ago I guess. First it was country and I was not a fan at all, now it's much more bluesy and jazzy. They are fun to hear. Good folks. Check them out. Tell them Ryan said hello.

Why does that riff sound so familiar?
This isn't a cover is it?

That's an original tune.

They have at least one out. I think he has a solo CD out before the band got together, and the new one will be out soon. (don't quote me on that)

Yeah, I think he's playing unplugged at Sky Bar this week or this weekend. He plays at the beach a lot now.

Oh is it next week. Cool, yeah sounds like fun. They are going to be in Destin next weekend when we are down there, but the bar scene isn't our thing. I guess we'll just catch them at a music festival or something. You know they played Bama Jam a few weeks ago. They were stoked about that!
