from DMBTabs.com check it out it's a great site:
Little Red Bird
This might not be perfect. If someone wants to take this and make it more precise, I'd be happy with that. It's enough to get you started though.
Verse:

B|-7---5---3---2---0--0--3--0---0--3--3--2------|
G|-7-----0---0---0----0--2--0---0--2--0--2------|

A|--------------------x--x--2---2--x--x--0------|
E|--------------------3--2--0---0--2--3---------|

From the * onward, he continues fingerpicking, but fingers the chords the traditional way. I think it's probably easier to just listen to the recording and hear what he's doing than try to untangle me trying to write it out in a tab.
Alternate Riff:
This is usually played on its own, but once is used to replace the part in []s above. Details at the bottom of the tab.
E|------------------------------------------|
B|-7--5--5h7--------------------------------|
G|-7--0--7----------------------------------|
D|-0--0--0----------------------------------|
A|------------------------------------------|
E|------------------------------------------|
Break:
There are multiple instruments here, but this sounds the best on one guitar to me.
I'm pretty sure Dave is either doing this, or just picking the chords while other instruments do the melody. It's hard to tell.
The way I play it, I just simultaneously fingerpick all the notes together that line up vertically in the tab below.
Your mileage may vary; if you think something else is going on here, feel free to tab it out.
E|------------------------------------------|
B|-3-3-3-3-3-3-3-3-3-3-3-3-3-3-3-----3--2---|
G|-------0-2-------0-2-------0-2-----4--2---|
D|-0-2-4-----0-2-4-----0-2-4---------4--2---|
A|-------------------------------4-2-2--0---|
E|------------------------------------------|

A|-----------------------------------2--0---|
E|-3-3-3-3-3-3-3-3-3-3-3-3-3-3-3-2-0-0------|
The last A in the break goes back to "a comfort to count the battles won".

I thought that was great man, the guitar sounded just right! I want to go home and learn this now. I didn't like the song until I listened to it several times, but the guitar is really pretty.

After listening to this on the Vegas release and watching the videos (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XQtWxzY5l04) it seems that Dave actually strums this song and plays it a bit differently than the tab above shows. The tab seems more accurate for what Tim plays but as far as playing and singing at the same time, Dave's might be easier. Has anyone taken a crack at tabbing what Dave is playing on Vegas?
I might play around with it later, but I wanted to make sure no one else as tackled this one yet.

When I played it live, I played it Dave's way, but at home, I usually play it the way the tab has it. I don't have time now, but later I could tab out the general part of what I play for Dave's part.

^^ That seems like the only legit "Dave version" out there. Watching the video helped a great deal in learning this song. Thanks, buddy.

Thanks for the video. This is exactly how I was playing it after listening to Vegas and watching the vids of D&T from Vegas. I knew that original tab was a little fancy for Dave, haha.
