I searched for a thread on this, but couldnt find one....:(
Anyway, I've been playing Billies and GS for the past couple of months with some success but I really dont think Ive got the muting down properly in the intro, and i'd appreciate any help i could get on how you expert guitarists out there mute in these two songs.:D

practice makes perfect as they say. try muting everything at first then gradually let one string after another give sound instead f going the other way. i think you should start with gs, as it is a much easier song to play than billies. if you need more help or tabs, just ask

Try this for the TB intro, it is much easier. This is my first tab to write so its messed up a little. Hope you get it.

I just learned grey street last night:D and I'm not sure if I'm doing it right but
I use my index finger to press down on the top string, and to mute the rest. I then use my middle finger to hit the 4th string
It works pretty good and is really easy to pull off, I kind of barre the strings with my index finger, but only enough to mute the strings. I can then move my index finger accordingly to get my middle finger in place, and it doesnt seem to affect the sound.

for Grey Street
i use my pinky and ring fingers for the 7xx7xx and the 5xx6xx
i use my index and middle for the 3xx4xx and the 2xx2xx
when i use pnky and ring fingers my middle and index mute the rest of the strings..and when i use my middle and indexmy index finger rests on the other strings and mutes them....
for Billies on the chorus and intro and what have you I do pretty much the same thing
