i love that not only did they make the most money, but it's tickets sold too... it's not like the tickets are just really expensive. like celine made almost as much money... with a third of the tickets sold

Celine Dion's tickets must be expensive as shit. DMB sold 3x the tickets but only grossed $7 million more.

Everything is relative.

How many of those bands toured every year?

Even worse is the price of these so called "show room" shows such as Celine Dion and back in the day, Frank Sinatra. They are really an expensive ticket and I think she appears at Ceasar's, which is expensive as well.

I love the "Go us" at the bottom of the OP's thread.

Merry Christmas all and to all a good pipe. Err, I mean night!

Vegas LOVE! It's everywhere. :monkey

Celine's shows are expensive! Doing simple math (gross $ divided by tickets sold) our tickets average $45 where as Celine's are like $130 (ok, sure, I pay that price, but I get a 3 night weekend at The Gorge :D). Well, those Vegas shows of Ms. Dion's are practically "Cirque Du Solei", so you pay for the "experience" I guess....still, I'd rather be at The Gorge in George!

Thanks, we are quite the fan base aren't we?

Very impressive numbers, but again, it's important to remember that most of these bands don't tour every single year. The sheer volume of shows automatically dictates that DMB should be very close to the top.

I'm actually shocked to even see Phish's name on the list, considering they only toured in 4 of the past 10 years and their ticket prices are cheap as hell.

They have an average ticket price of about a dollar less than DMB.
