Not sure why you would let that other stuff get to you. Chill out and enjoy the show.

:lol this is the most annoying goddamn post that gets repeated here on a regular basis.

If you don't understand how fuckoff people can make enjoying a show difficult, then you've never been to concert in your life. And somehow, I think you have.

this may have been discussed but i didnt see anything about it in the past 5 or so pages just browsing.

what did carter write on that dry erase circle board after the set n2 in the pit?
i know i remember someone saying they were bringing one in on here.

I'm pretty sure it was a drum head. There was a 12 year old boy right next to me on the rail who came wanting desperately for Carter to sign it. It was a success, thankfully!

Carter wrote something like "never give up on your drums!". It was awesome! Then he gave the kid a fresh pair of drum sticks and told him to practice. :cool

That kid isn't gonna stop playing anytime soon. :lol

Awesome! I'm so glad we all had a great night! Did they include two step in the actual setlist?

Yea they did, nothing changed on the set...which is fine by me.

Jersey trash. This is what most of the lawn was comprised of :thumbsdow

I would like to drop these kids off somewhere where they would be fuckin with some REAL big boys :violent. They wouldn't be so tough after it for sure.

And that video right there is why they should have an age limit on who is aloud to attend shows. you get little ass holes like that who have been drinking all day not to mention they are under age and mommy or daddy has to come bail them out because they can't control them selves. I love the band but some of the kinds of people that come to the shows make me sick

I hope they don't put age limits on anytime soon :lol I'm 19 and the past 3 shows I've gone to this tour I've been in the pit 3 rows away from the stage and waited on line for about an hour or so to get there. I hate basically everyone my age who goes to dmb shows because everyone drinks too much and acts like a complete moron, I got a water cooler thrown at the back of my head at camden by a group of kids my age when I was just walking back to the car with my girlfriend its so stupid but I know those type of people will always be at dmb shows which kinda sucks and makes my age group look really bad, but don't forget there are hardcore fans like me who are that age!

well they have to do something. Afews years back at camden, mt friends and I tailgateing, when a come comes up and says close up and go in, it was roughly 7 pm, guess we weren't moving fast enough for him because he was going to lock us uo if we did not move quickly.

the next day the lots opened at 4 first year ever. I was in the lot talking to a cop and he said the reason for them opening at 4 was because a group of teens got into a brawl and strated throwing glass at one another and lots at least for dmb have been opening at 4 ever since

yeah that sucks, well one thing they could do is really crack down on the underage drinking and actually ID people in the lots if they don't look 21, I don't know if they actually do this now but I'm sure that would help alittle bit however there is only so much the cops can do, if people my age wanna get trashed at a show they will find a way, I can't understand why people don't go to enjoy the great music especially cause of the break in 2011

I think I saw you N1. Did you leave 12 row center-ish about 4 songs in b/c of two totally drunk guys singing every song very loud? I finally did ask them very nicely to let me hear Dave-- and they did. Then there was the guy with the glasses who needed to high five about every 30 seconds. LOL.

I was really glad NOT to be in the Pit N2. I am glad it was a different experience the second night.

you got it. i'm so sorry i didn't recognize you from last year. i just couldn't take that area any longer. the singing and chanting was way out of place. n2 i was surrounded by excellent fans who sang and danced but not obnoxiously at all.

This. I would even to go as far as people having to get a wristband at a tent and show ID. No wristband = ticket and getting kicked out.

Are there a lot of 21+ year olds that do stupid shit? Sure there are. But the majority of these "fights" and altercations are from stupid young kids there just to be seen.

theres nothing i hate more at a show than drunk 17 yr olds...i was a drunk 17 yr old 9 years ago but i always behaved myself for fear of getting caught (99.99999999% impossible to be a teacher in pa w/any kind of drinking/drugs charge)

It's nice to know that regardless of what happens from here on out Camden N2 will almost certainly be considered among the best shows of the tour. Easily the best right now, and honestly, I think it's going to take a bit more than GGT for it to be topped at Alpine. That said, I truly hope the band's creativity got a jolt with what went on at Camden this past week.

Got to the Campbells Lot N2 around 4:30 and within 10 minutes, there was a cop van that immediately put 2 kids in the back. Within the next 5 minutes they had another 7-9 kids they put back there and drove off. Cops really didn't come by much after that, but most people were behaving themselves for the most part.
Anyone else notice the 2 guys on the roof of the building where the 1 bar is located with binoculars looking over the lots? Had to be cops, right?

Anyway, now to my story of the drunk ass kid sitting next to me that really wanted to get punched. Got to my seats with my friend around 8:15, 202 B26. Love those seats by the way, right next to the sound board and everyone around us(except this one prick) was very cool and into the entire show. So immediately after sitting down, this kid by himself sits next to me and tells me he is on Ants(instant respect) and he is 22. Not one minute later he asks me to get him a beer. I remind him he is 22 and to get it himself. Then he confesses and apologies that is is only 20. Ok, whatever. My friend and I had a good laugh at that. He asks me again to get him a beer, which he most definitely did not need. And thank god I told him "NO" due to the monster of an opening run. He then proceeds to sing every word of the first 2 songs directly in my ear waving his hands in my face. I had to push him to the side multiple times. Once he realized I wanted no part of his retardation, he decides to engage the row of girls in front of us. Then hops over to row A and begins to clearly annoy them in a similar fashion. They call the usher over, the usher redirects him back to his seat next to me, uggh. Halfway through the set, my friend and I are sitting down chilling with a J and he gets up and attempts to squeeze his way by the sound booth down to row A again, I kick him in the leg and tell him that is not a good idea. He sits back down and immediately falls asleep. The girls realize he is asleep a few songs later and take pictures with this sleeping fool. Unfortunately that wakes him and the annoying kicks back in. Around the end of the main set we see him climbing over the seats AGAIN, my friend grabs me and says "just let him go." He does and gets between the group of girls and another girl with her boyfriend/husband/whatever. The boyfriend does not take kindly to this line that has been crossed again and yells/pushes this kid until he climbs back over and sits back down next to me. He tries to engage me again and at this point I have had enough. I yell at him and say, "look, this is what you need to do right now, sit the fuck right here and SHUT THE FUCK UP!" Everyone around me was in this kids ear too yelling at him to just stop. Took every ounce of willpower not to punch him in the face. Anyone in my immediate area would agree with me this kid was a prick and should have been removed a lot earlier than he was. Security did finally come over and remove him around So Right, but the damage was done. Didn't ruin my time overall, but could have done without him.

Take a lesson youngsters, don't do what this Ahole did. I was drunk and high and I know people didn't write stories like this about me. Cheers to the rest of the tour. I'll be getting my last licks in at Citi Field. Giggidy!

I know i'm prob gonna get ripped up for this, but i don't think its just the underage drinking, i think its just the croud in general. I'm 20 years old and don't drink at all really, especially at concerts. I saw a lot of underage people, but i also saw a lot of people in their 20's, drunk, and acting like morons. With such a talented band, who the hell would wanna drink and not be able to appreciate the music? I never understood it. As long as there is tailgaiting and drinking in the venues, nothing will change, it's not just underaged people, its the croud in general IMO

I think it's awesome that after the dust has settled between SPAC and Alpine, Camden N2 stands alone as the top show so far.

Not in a venue war type way, but it's great to see a lesser hyped venue get what will likely stand as one of the best shows of the tour when all is said and done.

the thing is, camden always gets great shows. people just hate the area and that reason alone forbids folks to say its one of the best stops. SPAC is a big deal, but alpine didnt get onto the map til 2006 when last stop came back. 1999 and 2000 alpine was just another midwest hicksville stop.

don't get me wrong, I was at Camden N2 and the show was fucking incredible, and I hate the hype Alpine gets, but N2 Alpine is a pretty good looking show.

EDIT: nvm, i stand corrected. I think it was just IBYU, DIDO, Say Goodbye, and OSW standing out for me. I'm so glad I went to Camden N2, the last few years I've gotten lucky in the shows i've picked.

well they have to do something. Afews years back at camden, mt friends and I tailgateing, when a come comes up and says close up and go in, it was roughly 7 pm, guess we weren't moving fast enough for him because he was going to lock us uo if we did not move quickly.

the next day the lots opened at 4 first year ever. I was in the lot talking to a cop and he said the reason for them opening at 4 was because a group of teens got into a brawl and strated throwing glass at one another and lots at least for dmb have been opening at 4 ever since
There was a huge brawl between a bunch of meatheads that year. Saw the whole thing start. It was outrageous. We then got pepper sprayed and told to leave the lot. My friend wasn't moving fast enough and got night-sticked in the ass and the cooler kicked over by cops. He was then arrested for picking up his own beer even though he was 22. His citation said "Causing a large disturbance in lot 2."

Tailgating this year was weird since I met my friends and they were in the garage, and now we're too old to just wander the lots. So we drank a few beers just standing around and then went to the bar by the Campbell's Field lot. Apparently they don't stop you when you leave with beer, either.

If there's a 2012 tour, I bet I get to Camden again. My really good friend of 25 years lives 20 minutes from venue and likes dmb. All good.

I missed the tailgate both nights too. But I so rarely get to spend time with my friend that I just didn't feel like it.

And, honestly, whatever bad karma there was N1, the show N2 just blew me away. And I had much better folks nearby.

Side note: my friend and I took her minivan to the show N1 (we each have three kids). Leaving the show in the lots, someone hollered to us getting in the minivan : "That's a sturdy piece of equipment there, girls." It was just the giggle we needed after a totally annoying pit. We ditched the van N2. LOL.
