Does anyone know how the security is as far as cameras go? Is it easy to get a camera in? I have a Canon G9 so it's not exactly a "stuff in your pocket" camera...anyone have any insights to this or ideas?

Apparently when my g/f bought the tickets, there was no will call option, you just have to get the tickets at a select livenation booths. Anyone have any info on this?

Hey, everyone ! I know this may be a long shot, but would anyone have 1 extra lawn for Thursday ? I decided to surprise some friends down there & didn't realize night 2 was sold out, I already have my night 1. I'm staying at the Holiday Inn in Cherry Hill, could meet there are front of box office. Any help would be appreciated, thanks !!!! :D

I was wondering if someone could help me. Stubhub just replaced the fake pit tickets they sold me with traditional tickets. Can someone please send me an image of their ticketmaster tickets? I want to compare them with the ones I received. If you could, please email me at stebbifr@comcast.net. Thanks.

Not too bad at all IMO, do you know what number your seats are? towards the wall your view might be a little obscured of the far end of the stage, but apart from that there's not really a "bad" seat underneath. :hump

don't set that bar too high... you know as well as everyone else here that Camden is the 2-niter before Alpine. I hate the venue wars argument as much as the next guy, but there's no denying that Alpine always gets a few debuts, one or two of which aren't always expected... so i would expect solid shows, but nothing mind blowing... maybe one or two expected debuts (ASTB, LIOG, Rapunzel, Bayou) with the possibility of something in preparation for Alpine (Typical, GGT). I don't see any reason to think Camden is in an position to get a show any more special than Mansfield or Deer Creek

whiteysax
06-27-2010, 08:53 AM
on a personal note... I'm disappointed to not be making the shows. This and Alpine are my only real 2-niters i can get in my schedule and the funds just aren't there, so I'll be enjoying the sets from my couch with a bowl of chips and salsa. Our band's RV will be at the shows though so say hi to my friends for me!

Couple things, First, does anyone have an extra Lawn ticket for N2? and second who all has lawn seats here? We should stick together and stick together on the lawn, ive heard questionable stories from the camden lawn in year past, maybe if we stick around one another we can help avoid the drunken teenie bopper madness and enjoy the show a little more.

Oh, and are we all still gettin together before?

My reason for saying that Camden needs to have a least one outstanding show has nothing to do with my expectations and everything to do with what the band has done so far in 2010. At this point in time, this tour is barely in the top half of the 2000's, and that's not saying much considering that 2001, 2005, 2006, 2007 and the second half of 2009 were all pretty beat. They need to break out of their comfort zone and show us (i.e. the diehards) something.

And I don't think your argument about Alpine makes any sense. Alpine got 2 debuts in 2007 (DT, ADSR), 2 debuts in 2008 (Spoon, SoL) and 5 debuts in 2009 (including shit like Bayou and Smooth Rider, and a quality rarity in YNK). Now, that's not to say that Alpine won't get a nice couple shows, but I don't see why there's any correlation between Alpine and Camden.

i'm not arguing that you won't get a solid set of shows... i'm just saying i'd be surprised to get anything too surprising. Examples to support my argument...
2009 - 2-niter right before Alpine was Star Lake... a solid set of shows; 1 debut - Billies; Alpine got 5 debuts including Proudest Monkey and You Never Know.
2006 2-niter right before Alpine was Camden... typical set of shows for that tour with 1 debute - If I Had It All. Alpine got 2 debuts... Last Stop and Seek Up.
I'm sure both sets of shows this year will be great... I just don't want to how Camden got shafted later on when Alpine gets some unexpected debut which isn't out of the question

Hey all,

I have some pit seats for my friends and I for the 2nd night in Camden (Thurs., July 1st)

Anyway, I want to be as close to the stage as possible since it's GA in the pit this year at both venues and was wondering how early people think I will have to be outside the venue in order to be on the railing? How early to people line up? I usually have pavilion seating and show up whenever.

Since I'm this close, I don't want to waste it and want to be as close as possible.

Any help/advice would help.

Thanks

Yeah, I'm trying to decide on a sign for N1. Probably either The Stone or Typical, but I haven't ruled out LIOG or Seek Up. I kind of feel like a Last Stop sign is just a lost cause at this point.

Yeah, I'm gonna be in 102 C just behind the pit for N1, and in 103 R N2.

I think a Stone sign could actually get some kind of a response. Honestly, I wish I could make it into Philly that afternoon to try and meet the band and ask for one or two of those in person, because that seems to be much more effective than a sign, but I can't make it into Philly those days.

Actually, a Minarets sign might not be a horrible idea either, especially since we know for a fact that it was at least on the band's radar at SPAC.

yeah, I'm just really hoping for these shows to be great, I was at hartford N1 and I was blown away when they played JTR, Hello Again, BS, KKJ, I really don't want these Camden shows to be a let down, I know the energy will be there let's just hope for a few bust outs like they did at hartford, I still think that was the best show so far all tour, its obviously biased cause I was there but its atleast top 3 so far

i'm already planning for it.

Jeff - "i LOVE your solo on The Stone. its one of my favorite songs and i have never heard it in 20 shows. can you talk Dave into putting it on the set please?"

Rashawn - "you need to steal back your solo on The Dreaming Tree from Jeff. you rocked that song a few years ago. i think tonight would be a great time to do it."..........and/or........"when are you and Jeff gonna jam out the end of Shake Me? that song is begging for a Grey Street/Rapunzel style jam"

Dave - "what do you think about One Sweet World with the old school intro for tonight? you did in Vegas with Tim. play it again with the sax solo like you guys used to. its a beautiful piece of music."

Carter - "where do you keep your other set of arms? i heard a Say Goodbye where i still can't figure out how you played the solo intro with only 2 hands (LT 3 in case you were wondering). *waits for response* i think that would be a great song to bust out tonight."

Fonz - not sure yet (Dreaming Tree maybe?)

Boyd - not sure yet

Tim - not sure yet

i read a few weeks ago someone said they wanted to bring a dry erase board to the pit and hold it up. then after dave saw one song and either said no or played it or teased it, erase it and write a new song and hold it up. then just repeat the entire night.

I can't vouch for Camden but I worked a summer serving the VIP at Nissan. Best thing about it is a table and some room to move around, plus obviously great seats just behind 102.

You also get table service but it is obviously super pricey and they used to add 15% minimum (plus rounding up) to everything so a $7.75 beer was automatically rounded to $9. No lines / leaving the show though. You should have a great time

So after following LiveNation like a crazy man this past week, I just finally back-read a little and saw they decided to drop tickets during the US soccer game... the 5 hours when I wasn't at my compuer refreshing:BANG

Hence my question, is there any chance the Box Office will release any more tickets the days of the shows? I know at SPAC and a few other places people have gotten lucky with some good seats the day of the show, but didn't remember LN doing a release this close to those shows.

I realize I'd have to be sitting and waiting there for a few hours, and since I already have inside seats for both nights (just way off to the side N2), I didn't know if it'd be worth my wait to try and upgrade them.

Thanks for any advice.

there's a train that leaves the atlantic city convention center. it goes to lindenwald, then you take another train from lindenwald right to camden - it's a short walk to the venue from there.

there's also a train that goes back to AC too, same route. leaves camden at 11:46.

looks like the price is something like $6.50 a ticket. $13 bucks round trip sure beats the absurd parking fees!

piece of advice about the AC train: i'm pretty sure there is a free jitney that provides services throughout the boardwalk/AC casinos. so if you're staying at a casino or in the AC area, make sure you look into that. you could save yourself some money from cab fees or parking at the convention center.

CAMDEN TAILGATE TIPS

1. They will fill Cambell's lot (the big far one) first.
2. They will not let you into any other lot until Cambell's lot is full.
3. So, Cambells will be filled with all the early-comers who came to party. Thus the rowdy, pukey, nitrous toten, broken bottle crowd.
4. The cops will heavily patrol Cambells lot.
5. Come 7pm they will kick you out of Cambell's lot. Bullhorns, helicopters, the works. So make sure you are all packed up and ready to go by 7pm or be stuck with a cop car stopped at your spot yelling at you through a loudspeaker while you drunkedly try to pack up your grill and shit while helicopters fly over you. And god forbid you have a drunken friend who wants to argue with the cop when you are holding. Not fun.

6. No canopies.
7. Underage they will bust you.

okay, and i'm just saying from my experience.

8 shows in the last 4 years, i've never seen anyone get busted for casually/socially drinking.

be respectful and have your beer in a cup, and you'll be fine.

Camden is my home venue. And until Camden N2 last year I totally would have agreed with you. Really all they do is take all your booze. Maybe keep it behind the tire of the car next to you just in case.

The Venue Lot is the place to be. The Warehouse and people that actually go into the concert congregate here. It's totally better than Campbell's and more chill.

I agree. But they had cops guarding all the other lots. They all said Cambells lot had to be filled first.

Yeah it took a little longer to get in there but I dont think Campbell's was filled up. They just said that.

there's a train that leaves the atlantic city convention center. it goes to lindenwald, then you take another train from lindenwald right to camden - it's a short walk to the venue from there.

there's also a train that goes back to AC too, same route. leaves camden at 11:46.

looks like the price is something like $6.50 a ticket. $13 bucks round trip sure beats the absurd parking fees!

I am driving to Lindenwold both nights. Free parking and $2.90 round trip drops you off 2 blocks from the venue. When the show is over at 11, I am on the train by 11:15 and in my truck by 11:35.

Last year, my friends and I were tailgating in the parking garage and the cops nailed about 30 kids who were too drunk to know what subtle was. When they heard the cops it was drunk teen bowling trying to get out. We were cheering the cops as they chased them out.

I have been to Camden many times and I think that the only way you get caught by the cops if you are being obnoxious. If you are just standing there hanging out drinking in a cup then I don't think anything would happen. I'm 20 years old and to this day havn't been caught in camden (probably just jinxed myself for this year). but anyway yeah last yer n2 i didn't see one cop patrolling in the lot over from cambells. so my best bet to people underage is to park, check out the scenary(cops that is), and being cautious, but don't be too suspicious.

Cheers to a good good time :thumbsup

the lots should open at 4... MAYBE at 3, depends on the staff i believe

I managed to find it last year after wandering aimlessly awhile. I went to N2 alone and hung out with ants beforehand. You will find it and it is a lot of fun (and I was pretty much sober).

I am wondering if there is a plan for the ants in the pit re: location for N1. Please don't say within 2 feet of dave. I have pit tickets and would love to know some of my neighbors but I am not interested in the pushing and shoving way up close. :) Any ants hanging back a bit and chillin?

Paul,

You did sell me the N2 pair. Good to "see" you. I will go in during the opener too. I got the sense that there were a lot of ants in the pit both nights (my N2s suck but I am going with a friend and her hubby, so finding three was a bear. Sticking with my crappy WH seats). I just thought that maybe if peeps can't make the tailgate we could have a general plan for ant-finding in the pit. Likely a pipe dream. Who has the Love sign? That might help-- a beacon of sorts. :)

So five days off and the guys come back to a two night show in Camden and then ALPINE. Is the band going to pull out some stops and rock our socks off or will they save up some fire for Alpine? Regardless, the show is going to be an incredible experience. What do y'all think?

I don't see any reason why Camden will be worse than Alpine. Maybe they hold a song for Alpine, but I'm sure Camden will get debuts this week also. I'm excited the band is coming off a 5 day break. Recharge, and come back at it!

Hey everyone, just joined ants but been a fan since the beginning. In PIT both Camden N1 with friends/family. One of my family members just dropped out so I have an extra N2 PIT ticket that I'm happy to sell for face value to another fan.

...I wasnt planning on selling my ticket here tonight, but, it seemed like the right decision to make, luck would have it..... :)

I know this isnt the place for tickets so I apologize for the placement. But if you are interested... setzler@bdionline.com.

There are many smaller lots on the main road out of the venue. Whether or not they are faster is dependent upon how quickly you get to your car. Because, being Camden, you don't want to leave that main road, and once it gets backed up, it's just like normal crawling concert traffic.

use the Trip Planner in the upper left corner of the homepage. camden's official station is the 'camden walter rand transportation center'. AC's is 'atlantic city rail terminal'

If the lady and I aren't planning to do tailgating, do you think we are ok to arrive at 716? We have seats so don't need to rush into the pit or anything.

Sucks the train only runs every hour, understandable though

The constant sound of bottles breaking, and NOS tanks being dispensed with those worthless idiots running around the lot from the cops getting in fights and stashing their tanks under peoples car. That's the problem with Campbell's. It's gross.

To all wondering: The Venue lots at Camden are fine. Any of them will do. They all cost the same, they all take just as long to get out of (which is not that long at all, you'll be out of there before midnight).

The whole Campbells field thing should be avoided at all costs.

There is one tiny lot to your right if you are driving toward the venue with the venue to your left just before you get to the first entrance to the main venue lot. (if that makes sense, I'm sure it does :lol) that place is the shit.

So have we figured out any definitive answers about the pit? How big it is and what time gates will open?

there's also a really small parking lot right across the street from campbell's - if you're cool with a chill tailgating scene, i'd recommend it. there is literally no traffic leaving the lot.

not a prob! i think it looks a lot further on the map.. it's not too bad of a walk from the campbells lot to the venue... especially if you walk along the path next to the Delaware River (don't look into the river though)... the Venue lots are definitely preferred though because the Campbell's lot is hit-or-miss depending on the people around you.
