Anyone from the Bay Area CA?

Hey, I wanted to know if there is anyone from the bayarea that would be willing to give some lessons. I have been playing guitar for a year and a half and I really want to be able to start to write some of my own stuff. So let me know if anyone is intereseted or knows somebody who might be. I am 16 and I live in the east gate of blackhawk. I heard bruce absolutly hates DMB, but also heard he is a good teacher. If I want to be able to write my own stuff and eventually be able to learn songs by ear is he a good guy? where do you live and how old are you
