The L-Town water dept. said those don't work. They're re-building the water filtration system so they just dump a crap load of chlorine in the water. They said a filter you attach to the faucet wouldn't protect you from parasites.

Alright guys, back as promised with some updated alcohol information for those of you with a drinking problem at DMB shows....

The alcohol policy is updated on the Livenation website, however, let me just give you a rundown in case anyone who doesn't have a massachusetts CDL or Liquor ID card is attending the show....

-Rhode Island Drivers Lisence: 21-30 requires a backup form of ID (Anything with a signature, so if the CC doesn't have a signature, it doesn't count)
-Out of state drivers Lisence: 25-30 requires a backup form of ID
-Under 25 from any other state than RI, with a CDL, you will not get served
-Active Military ID or Retired Military ID cards. It has to be ACTIVE. We do not accept dependant ID's either. Or Merchant Marines.
-The Trump Card: U.S. Passport or the new U.S. Issued Passport card. Passport must be in english, or all pertinent information (DOB/etc.) in english. MUST have a U.S. Customs stamp. Problem here is if you have one and have only used it to go to Canada, you probably only got it scanned. No stamp, S.O.L.. Passport card is pretty much the same way, everything's in English so it makes it easier. Again, if you're under 25 out of state, the only way you're getting served or on the contrary, not having your beer taken away, is to have a passport.

No duplicates allowed.
Any excessive mutilation on the ID isn't allowed either.

Now, onto the beer choices this year:

I would just recommend not being anywhere near underage kids, as the Mansfield area police depts. have been cracking down on that more than normal. Thanks, it's really frustrating because she's been having heart problems and has been in and out of the hospital since October. They will probably put a do surgery on her carotid artery. The parking lots open at 4 p.m. on the day of both shows. They are still trying to sort out the re-usable water bottle situation for the Brita stations set up throughout the venue. Didn't ask, I'm not much of a drinker myself. Every time I've been there though it's basically been the rule of thumb that if you reasonably conceal your drinks and don't act like an a-hole then you should be left alone. And stay away from the kiddies/bro bros. Nothing but trouble there usually.

Without having to filter through close to 200 pages of posts, are there any plans for people before the show? I'm new to the area, first show North of VA, can't wait to get to it. My girlfriend and I will be heading down as early as possible and would love to meet up and do some tailgating before the show.

Emailing Guest Services about drinking in the lots probably won't warrant a reply email from them, other than stating it's not allowed.

Like someone else said, conceal it. Red/Non-clear cups. Don't get out of control, and don't let any1 who looks underage anywhere near ur setup. Also, don't bring your alcohol consumption for 2 days worth of shows just in the event something does happen.

we're planning on meeting at a bar before n2 since you cant tailgate the lots til 4 when they open, and tailgating at mansfield sucks anyway

If you try to get anywhere near it coming from Casey O'Connor's after 5pm, it's going to be a logjam. Traffic pouring off of 495 into the Comcast Center by then is usually a bitch to deal with. But that's not a bad lil' place to go to.

Wendell's is a dive bar, if you're going there for drinks, that's fine. They do boast some of the best wings in the northeast, or something like that. I'm not a wingman (or a wing-man) so I couldn't tell you that side of it. If you're going there for other food outside the wings, scrap it. They sell sandiwches for around 5-6 bucks a sandwich, but that's all it is. You have to also buy a side of fries or whatever for 2-3 dollars more. I rarely go there. Alberto's is directly across the street from the comcast center, so when you depart there, you'd already be on the northbound side of route 140. Pizza's alright, crust is exceptionally thin, but they do make a bomb-ass Chicken Parm sandwich, and use Boar's Head meats in their subs. Emma's down the road a lil' bit (about maybe 1.0 miles if that), would put you on the southbound side of 140. It offers a nice patio bar with TV on the Norton Resivoir which'll provide a cool breeze if in fact (and I'll have my mom put out her Rosary Beads outside Sunday night if that silly superstition of no rain works) it is humid. Drinks are pretty reasonable around 5 dollars a mixed drink...Beer's are nice, and for the classless people in the group, there is a beer called "Ron's Special Brew"...which is nothing more than PBR. Food there is EXCEPTIONAL. Especially the Buffalo Chicken Pizza. If you're there from 4-whenever on Monday, it's half-price pizza. The Large Buff Chix will only be 7.50. Tuesady I think is either wing or taco night or something like that.

If you don't want to worry about cops at all, and you have a bunch of friends piling into one car, I really think the private lots across the street from the venue are worth it. It's like $30 but split 4 or 5 ways isn't bad and I'm sure they open up before the Comcast Center lots will.
