Also, regarding the camera crew… I was over near the busses pre show and saw a film crew following a boy and his family as they arrived at the venue, got some passes, and was escorted in the venue on their way to meet the band. I am not sure if it’s the same boy who got his wish to hear KKJ for the encore, but I am guessing it is. They boy may have been about 13 as Dave noted, and he had a Fenway shirt on I believe… I hope it was the same kid, what a night to remember he had if so!!

I'm sure this thread will be dying within a few days and certainly by Bonnaroo but let me see if I can answer a few things.

Walking into Section 1, there was 3 man group with a hd camera going in with me. I was thinking why wouldn't dmb crew just be in the back with the band etc? Maybe it is true?

I was at the t-shirt stand (side note: not great this year imo) and saw a crew taping a family with a kid on the dad's shoulders. So I don't know if the two are related or not. Maybe there is a full on DMB documentary being shot.

The comment from the security guard that I tweeted was not completely unprompted. A guy in the lawn near me was remarking how good the show was, the guard came over and said "yeah I really liked tonight's show." (this is before Two Step even started) "I wasn't feeling last night that much but tonight was a lot of fun, and I think it's cause HBO is here tonight. [I give him my best WTF face and ask for more details] That's what we were told before work this morning, HBO was going to bring a crew in to film."

Isnt Grey Street a 12-string song? I was thinking that, but has happily surprised with KKJ

Right up until now, when I rechecked the setlist, I had assumed Grey Street was played night 1. That song follows me around (as does Jimi Thing, as does Crash). I could've sworn I had seen it. Apparently it was not played at either night of the Mansfield run, which is a first for Mansfield. Grey Street has been played at least once every year since 2002 (the Mansfield show before 2002 was 1997.)

So I was luckier than I even thought.

anyone else catch right afte IOY daves tech brought the taylor back out to him and dave was hesitant and holding on to the griffen while talking to carter, and stefan..... I was 4 rows back and it looked like they were discussing whether or not they all remembered a song or not, like they were gonna switch the set up, and play something else which dave would keep the griffin for! Then he passed it off and the played SMLAM.

Monkey was not on the setlist. That is frequently the source of the extra downtime in between songs, other than just random BSing around, there's a lot of midshow discussion about cutting, adding and changing songs along with guitar changes. Tim was changing guitars every song practically, and Dave's getting to that point with the Taylor, the Veilette, the drop-D, the 12, and the multiple copies of each.

Here is a PIT story for all you guys:

Everyone started yellin at her cuz she was clearly making up the friend and when we asked her where she was, she is like "Oh I dunno I guess I will just stay here."

Because she was hot, everyone was cool with it. But I was like "You can stay here since you are short but if you get a drumstick can I have it?" And she gives me a huge hug and presses herself into me and is like "Absolutely, thank you so much!"

After everyone clears out, I go up to her and asked very nicely "So do I get one of those"

(I was being a very nice guy--- which I shouldn't have). But the guard told me I needed to leave... so instead of ruining what was otherwise a great night, I turned around and left.

We both know that so even if it doesn't work we'll be okay and won't damage our chances of getting back together down the road. We had to do long distance before when I was at Maryland and she was still here, so I kinda know what to expect, minus the timezone change and the fact that at most I'll be able to visit her once.

yup the xbox 360 arcade is $200. it comes with a memory card instead of a hard drive, but you can just put your HD on it. that's what i did when my old xbox broke. you can prob find a cheap xbox just the until w/ no hard drive on craigslist too.
