We are coming from Memphis since we got no love in the tri-state area (cannot really complain as they have played in TN the past 2 yrs). How is Maryland Heights for a show? Never been. We are planning on heading out a day early for a game as well.

Nothing spectacular as far as venues go...i have seen a lot of great show there including my first phish show, roger waters, and multiple DMB shows....I assume pavillions will be fairly easy to get through the Warehouse so that it what i am trying for!!

Yippie!! I might make this show this year.... Having worked there for 6 summers, I never really get excited to go back to the funky smells.... But hey I don't have to clean the place up after shows anymore, so that is a selling point.

I have been to every Riverport show for the last 9 years and this is the first time that i am not excited about the show. I guess I was spoiled at Busch show. We are actually thinking about different show this year.

we'll be there. I love riverport. last years show was awesome and 2005 got BOWA for the tour opener. Already got my room at the Wingate. We usually do the Holiday Inn Express, but thought we would switch it up this year. Plus, the next day it will only take us 3 1/2 hours to get to Indy instead of the 9 1/2 it takes from Little Rock. See ya'll there!

Ticket Request for the GA Orchestra pit. Totally psyched. Just for people's info, it was 105 at the curtain opening last year. I've been going to RIVERPORT (old name) for years and never caught the slightest whiff of that until that show. It was a great GREAT show though regardless. The venue is good, but the people who come out to it are great. Looking forward to seeing you all.

Well, at least there's a few more posts now... Farm aid was great. Very different crowd than the typical DMB show, but certainly not in a bad way. I highly recommend Riverport as a venue. I know there are some people who don't like it, and I'll say it now, there's no tailgating, but look at the previous sets there. Plus as long as it isn't as hot as last year (which was bullshit anyway--it was like the one hot day all summer) there's no smell. Plus they've really gotten coming and going a lot better than it was. I can recall leaving the parking lot in 2001 at 2:00am. Busch Stadium was hard to beat though, and given that the Cards are away for the whole first week of the tour, I'd hoped for a repeat. However, I'm still really excited for this year. I love BWGGK, but I'd love to hear the older stuff again. Get your tix and come to St. Louis. Hope to see you here!!!

Geoff8

I was in the lawn last year for my little sisters first show....i got there really early and got front row of the law but would ratehr be up close for this one....I figure i am in the Warehouse so i might as well try for some good seats....

My little brother wants to go (he is 18) and it will be his first show....he is an All-State soccer player but he turned down a full ride from Bradley (D1 Peoria, IL) to kick field goals in college....he has gotten many offers but i guess is going to take a year off to work on his form (he has only been kicking for a few years) He can boot 60+ yard FG's though and consistently kicks it to the back of the end zone which is amazing for high school. And our cousin is Matt Ryan from the Falcons so he has a shot at making the pros if things go as planned!!

I'm from Canada. I'm flying down to St. Louis as a side trip before i head up north for my summer job. My job is close by Bethel Woods, so i'm gonna try to make it there too. We Canadians aren't given very many of our own shows :(

Maryland Heights should be a great show to see.

My only annoyance is that Riverport doesn't allow tailgating. Although, a couple friends that were at Riverport for Farm Aid said they didn't stop their tailgate, as long as they kept it under control.

Anyone going straight from here to the 2 Indy shows? This will be my 4 time seeing them at Riverport.. I'd love to meet them this year? Anyone got any ideas on how to make that happen at this venue, considering the buses are all fenced in!?

Its real easy... no not really. I've been to almost 50 shows since 2000 and have only been about 10 feet away from dave, and never spoken to him directly. My guess is go early and just try to get places u shouldn't be. look for their busses and just hang out u might get lucky and see him/them going from bus to backstage. Or look for Dave riding his bike around the venue before the show. He rode right by my fiance at Vanderbilt last year.

Lookin forward to going again....hope it's as good as last year's, '06, '04 and '00 when Bela guested. Looking forward to this show as my apartment is one exit West of venue. Any outta-towners be SURE to hit up Main St after the show. It's a strip of bars on the Riverfront about a mile from the venue. I might be doing a late night gig!!

Also, can offer a place to stay (free of charge) if someone can help me out with the pit tickets. Never been close and need some help....been going since 1998 and NEVER sat even in Pavillion :( This will be show 38 for me. Been all across the country and never signed up for Warehouse....so if someone's a WH member and can help me out with a couple of GA/pits I got you covered on a place to stay and ride to and from venue. You can get two free seats from Lost Highway Records (the record label for DMB openers Robert Earl Keen and Black Joe Lewis & the Honeybears).

They reserve 2 seats to shows their artists play and this applies to the DMB tour as well. These seats usually go unclaimed and are available now for five or so shows. I already claimed the ones for Omaha.

In any case, you have to join the label's street team to claim them. I hope this doesn't sound like a scam. But it's free to join so you don't have anything to lose. You also have to watch a 2-minute video.

For the record, as a street team member I get credit for people who join but you also get free tix so I guess we both win. Here's the link:http://losthighwayrecords.fancorps.com/signup/ref/louisthekingsnake

If you do join, look me up on the street team site. Adios.

EXPENSIVE! Main Street is where it's at. It's literally the next exit. Awesome place. Met the band down there before the gig in '06. They were biking on the trail by the river. There's a strip of 8-10 bars that are right on the river and ALL have reasonable/cheap drinks. Plus any musicians are welcome to join....I play acoustic DMB covers and would jam at a bar with someone if interested. I know all the owners. Anyway, I'd recommend main street for pre-gaming it. Cab ride of 4 dollars probably. It's within a mile of amphitheatre.

Last year, at Dave and Busters, they had half price tabs and half priced games. Couldn't find a better deal in town. Spent 100 at the bar, should have been 200. Plus I mobbed on some games.

If you plan on taking in some of the sites (Arch, Busch Stadium, Brewery, Zoo, etc.) You might want to hit them up early in the day. The pavillion is about 20 minutes + out of downtown.

I'll be coming up the day before (or at least that's the thought) so there will be plenty of time to see the sights.

Where you staying at? Downtown or out west by the amphitheatre? If west, I suggest Main Street in St Charles. It's a mile from the venue. You got a SWEET night club at the Casino called HOME (hit me up, my boy manages it and I can waive your $20 cover) plus Main St has Riverside bars where it's perfect to bar hop and drink. I might be playing a gig that night on main (plenty of DMB covers) and then there's D&B. So much to do within 2 miles of the venue. Great location for outta-twners.

I've got several friends that live in st. louis so I'll just crash there. I've heard D&B is a great pre show location and D&B pre show is just fine with me.

It'll probably be at Lloyd and Harry's on the patio over-looking the river. It depends if anyone will wanna hire a 3-6pm gig with it being a Wednesday and all. Usually they only hire nighttime entertainment when I do gigs. But I'll let y'all know. If not, I'll be set up playing in the venue's parking lot. If anyone wants to meet, I'll have a pretty good group of ppl pre-gamin and jammin to/with me and plenty of females. PM for my number if you'd all like to meet or hang. I'm 24 and just have a good time at DMB concerts like us all :)

I'll be in the pit, so I'm very happy...

Also saw on Dave and Busters website that they will be having half priced games and half priced cocktails (4-7 i think) the night of the concert...last year the half priced cocktails included shots so it should be a good time...

Dave and Buster's is a good little hike....it's in the same "complex" as the theatre. I won't be landing a gig like I thought on Main Street. However, I'll be at Dave and Busters for half price "brain ticklers" and appetizers. I'll leave there at about 5 or so and go to the parking lot. Where, if you park toward the back, TONS of tailgating goes on and it's easier to leave after the show. I'll have my guitar playing ANY Dave/DMB request, will be drinking and playing washers.

Who's with me????

This show is going to be special to me. It's my daughter's (age 11) first DMB show. (She saw Dave & Tim @ Farm Aid). More importantly, it's my wife's first, too. And, hopefully, the first of many more to come...

My wife is on the lung transplant list at a local hospital and is having a tough time. Some good news, though. She has finally succumbed to all the DMB playing in our cars and around the house by me, my daughter and some very close friends.

We'll be on the right side in the wheelchair accessible area behind Row Z but before Row AA. Say, "Hi, Lisa. Welcome to the show!" if you walk by and see the beautiful blonde wearing oxygen.

She's fought this disease that put her onto the transplant list nearly all her adult life. And, much of it caused some issues with having kids. Anyway, one little girl we nearly had was to be named Grace. We lost Grace just a week before her due date back in 2002.

Last Fall at Farm Aid (when Dave and Tim played "Grace is Gone"), I had a very tough time explaining the song and it's special meaning to our family while holding my oldest daughter --the lump in my throat getting bigger with each verse. It was a good moment, though -- sharing that with her and wishing mom was there with us. And, now we got tix to this summer's show... June 16 -- the day after we lost Grace some eight years ago.

So my daughter and I are hoping to hear a little Grace for my our Grace in heaven and her mother down here with a broken heart and some broken lungs. And, Dave, if you're listening... One Sweet World for me. :rolleyes

See you all at the show!
