Hello everyone!!! Less than two days until me and my buddy roll out to Deer Creek! I'm taking him to his first show ever, and he's almost more excited than I am! Gotta make it through today and tomorrow at work....

Yay!! I'm going to crash at my own place as of now, but who knows what'll happen that evening!

Here are a list of hotels within walking distance of the Xcel (listed in order of proximity):

No tailgating per se since it's located downtown. But you can always pregame at bar before hand. There are a few on 7th street to choose from. I think there's going to be a group of us that are going sit in line @ 7:00am that morning.

Ashley is leading you the right way. Most Twin Cities "regulars" in this thread have GA tickets and plan on spending the day outside the doors of the X. I'm trying to get everyone there by 7AM as I insist on being nowhere except front and center. We'll see. But for pre-gaming action, I agree with Ash in that there really isn't tailgating at the X, you pretty much have to choose one of the bars on 7th street. Liffy's (connected to the Holiday Inn) is my favorite, but it'll be PACKED like a bitch. Get there early and stake out your table.

My husband and I will be driving down on Wednesday morning (about 5.5 hours) so won't be there to hang in line. We also have GA tickets...although I'm not sure how willing I am to stand in line all day to get up close (pathetic I know). Sucks there is no tailgating....drinking at the bars gets PRICEY!

yup, it's 30 bucks a night, totally worth it IMO, i can't stand tailgating around the 16 year oldzzz. everyone in premier seems to be a little bit more mature and there to see the band not just to party, don't get me wrong its obviously still a huge party but it's more likely that your neighbor will offer to share food/grill/beer as opposed to in the regular lots where people are constantly coming up asking for beer/weed...

Excellent. When we're closer to D-Day we should double check on venue entrance procedures. I've heard conflicting testimonials of some venues letting in GA people with WH tickets earlier than GA people with TM tickets. We will plan on meeting up at Gate 1 bright and early.

I spoke with the event manager for the DMB concert and at this point he doesn’t know too much, he hasn’t received the rider yet. If Warehouse members are allowed in early it would probably be thru gate 1. I’ll keep you posted
