DMB is due for another great show at Hershey. Last year was pretty bad (I didn't go and had no qualms missing it), and with some of the debuts at Alpine, as well as Blue Water again and LIOG at CMAC, this could be a very nice setlist this time around.

completely agreed on all accounts. this could be the most unpredictable show so far (as far as trying to guess spots of songs and such) for a one nighter.

In my experience there are usually quite a few extras for Hershey floating around the lots. Not sure if this year will be any different, but it's not yet sold out.

My excitement for this show is great but my only question mark is how much big whiskey do we get. My five shows this year have all been 2 nighters (or at least the last nite of a 2 nighter) and they didnt repeat big whiskey stuff which limited their slots in the set. With the one night gigs back I'm just curious to see if we get 4-5 BW songs or if they drift back to the 7-9 BW songs in the set?

I remember Dave's rant in 08 about the using the Hershey Syrup can instead of the bottle and 09's famous I like my cow shit from a distance rant! I've been in the stands and on the field at Hershey - both are fine. Further away from the stage in the bleachers is actually the better angle, especially with the huge video boards they've been using.

Hey everyone.. this is my first time posting on the boards, though i've been a member for a couple years now (to track my stats and download my shows)... I didn't feel like wading through 35 pages for an answer to this even though it has probably already been discussed, but realistically, how early do you think people start lining up at the gate for the front GA section? I was thinking I'd bring a disposable cooler and some snacks and basically do my tailgating in line, but the more i think about it the more i realize how wide the stage is.. I'm thinkin anywhere in the first 1000-2000 people in the gate and you're gonna get a great spot... Thanks for the advice!!

I know there are lots of people that say the Hershey shows are shitty....Just hoping that it somehow compares to Camden. I opted for Hershey this year (my 1st Hershey show) since I'm getting too old to go to weekday concerts and still make it to work the next day. And I enjoy checking out new venues.

Anyways, should be a great time regardless and I hope we all get a great set. Honestly, if The Stone is played, I could leave happily and not care what else happens. My favorite DMB song and I've never seen it. I feel there is a decent shot.

Its AA through EE, and then A-Z above that.

So remind me what the backway into Hershey is from Route 283...take 283 past Hummelstown/Middletown to 743 north?

From Maryland, I would take 83N to PA Turnpike - 76 E across the river, get off at Harrisburg East exit (directly on the other side of the river), merge onto 283 S/E toward Lancaster/Harrisburg Airport. Take the exit for 743 N, which will bring you through the town of Hershey ->Cocoa Ave. to Park Ave.


You could also get off at the Vine St./Middletown/Hummelstown exit from 283, take a left at the light, go straight into Hummelstown, right at Main St. That will take you out to Hersheypark Dr., but depending on what time you get there, Hersheypark Dr. could be pretty congested.

theres a few entrances, one being at the back/other end from the stage. and considering you're not getting in until after the WH members, i highly doubt they'll be able to see any sign you make because you'll be so far back.
