Yeah, hopefully it sees the light of day. Alot of the tapers these days obviously prefer to be up on the stacks, but Sarvnosky's tape of Camden N2 is unreal and he taped from the middle of 102 about 20 rows back from the stage.

It's interesting, because Phish only allows fans to tape from the designated taper's section, which is immediately behind the soundboard, and there are some really, really good Phish AUDs out there.

good shit. tonight was bonkers.

Thought it was a great show as well. Recently > Corn Bread > Recently was fantastic. BEF > Say Goodbye was awesome. And for whatever reason, I actually felt that the encore worked well -- I love the shorter SDL without 8 minutes of outros.

You watching the Phils replay? The 9th is about to start... :lol

My mom texted me during the show and goes, "Looks like a pretty good set tonight. The Phils just scored 6 runs in the 9th to tie it." 10 minutes later I checked the score on my phone and saw they won.

back from the show, and... wow! I was praying for a halloween, but hey, I always do.

Everyday sounded really good, honestly. I was laughing when it opened, but as long as it is not coming out every night - I am cool with it. Then my god:

Pig
Stay or Leave
Big Eyed Fish->
Say Bye
Grey St

Loved every minute of everything above. BEF went right into SG without a hitch. Beautiful version, one of the best I have heard. Actually, for those DLing the show - listen to Daves voice on these songs, he was being... extra - Davey. I know, sounds weird, but honestly, it will make sense. It was great, great, great.

Recently started, and I was going nuts. Water into Wine was short, but did the job - first time I heard it live! And holy hell, you can barely tell when it switches into Cornbread (likewise, when it switches out of cornbread back into recently). Maybe its the bands way of telling us cornbread cant be that bad - not if it can hide inside a Recently like that! Great jammed out run.

A couple songs to sit down for, and then Warehouse, Stay, Ants. What can I say? Bravo, DMB.

Encore was a bit of a let down, but honestly I would rather hear what I heard than Time Bomb-Watchtower again. Great spread of songs, great songs, and great energy all night.

Last show is Scranton, cant believe what I have heard this tour. Keep it up DMB :thumbsup

Just got home, but being on the railing, one spot to the right of dave made the driving all worth while. Beginning of the set was crazy, and having Ants follow Stay was great. Also finally hearing Say Goodbye for pretty much my first time (wasn't aware enough to appreciate it in '06) was amazing.
Was my first time at a show solo, and if I get sets like that and spots on the rail everytime I go alone, I might just have to do that from now on:cool

Oh, and alright already Dave you convinced me, I'm going to Scranton:thumbsup

Fantastic show tonight....lots of highlights, really don't know where to start.

I had seats in Section 6 and I was impressed by the view but not by the fans around me...not to say that I was mad at them - the crowd was very respectful, but not really "into" it alot. That didn't matter; however, the show was excellent.

Until gravedigger I didn't really get a chance to breathe. Stay or Leave gets better every time I hear it and this is the 4th time I've heard it this year. Recently was unreal....can't even begin to describe the awesomeness.

Warehouse was unexpected and enjoyable....then stay...was great that it didn't end, even though I'm high on Stay right now. Ants was tits.

Some Devil...chills. I really loved how respectful the crowd was and how down to earth Dave was.

SDL...also high on this song right now, liked it alot...long DaDitch interpolation....thought the show would end in a fade out for a second....then SMLAM. Wonderful in this spot after SDL.

Oh, and anyone else hear the GIG teases?

I was in Section 6 as well and I agree about the crowd. Many folks sat for a good portion of the night, and there were the usual kids just there to party. At one point this chick next to us hit a joint, and this middle aged guy in front of her snaps, "Don't blow that shit anywhere near me again. Not anywhere near me. Got it?" and he was seriously pissed. The girl looked scared out of her mind. I wanted to be like, dude, it's a fucking concert, but I kept clear.

Didn't you sit in the row behind me or something? I was going to say hi but couldn't tell if you were being a dick or just fucking around in your post earlier in this thread to me so I didn't. :lol

Oh, and anyone else hear the GIG teases?

And yes, there was definitely a Grace is Gone tease before Still Water.

Had a great time. Just got home. Car broke down 20 minutes from my house. Check Engine came on while I was leaving the lot. Working on 2 hours of sleep and heading to work. Just drove 3 hours back to college where I work. ugh.

Had my hand on a carter stick and ended up setting it three guys behind me. so fusturating. I imagined it happening the whole day (minus the missing it part). haha

More to come when I come back.

Loved the opening run, and the whole concert.

Oh yeah I met some ants at the show, had a great time jamming and talking dave between songs. We were right in line with fonz about 100 feet out. Two guys I can only remember the one name Nate SN: Crashintonate chatted it up with my and my gf and definitely made my show by having some appreciative fans around us.

Secondly, I noticed a taper about 10 feet in front of us but he left after the 1-2-3 part of ants with all his equipment. I couldn't figure out why and I hope someone else recorded this show because I couldn't see any mics around the field front section.

Hey that's me!! Awesome show and even better people around us! Off to Pittsburgh for night 2 now. It'll be hard to beat Hershey

some of my points from last night, tho most of them are spot on with DMBZilla's

-I can do w/o Everyday opening a show, though it wasn't too bad
-LOVE recently-cornbread-recently...the transition is absolutely perfect
-eh hee>> warehouse was a very nice surprise..its only my 2nd WH (and 2nd in my last 2 shows)
-1st Say Goodbye for me and it didnt dissapoint
-best LITHOG ive ever heard

wasnt thrilled with the encore. i love Some Devil but i didnt need the other 2 there. that being said, i'll never complain about a show with Pig, Warehouse, Recently, Say Goodbye, SoL, LITHOG, Ants, BEF and Grey Street

Beebz
07-10-2010, 10:42 AM
Had a blast during the tailgate and the show. Recently should always be played with cornbread in the middle. That was fucking fantastic. A decent encore would have made this the show of the tour so far, but it still rocked.

I went in thinking DMB didn't like Hershey, but I left knowing that they love the place. That was my 45th DM show and it was incredible. I brought some friends for their first time, and needless to say it won't be their last. LITHOG was out of this world. They had a great spread of album coverage, no bombardment of Big Whiskey, Dave was loose and happy and talkative. That's my 2 cents- not a dull moment last night. See ya in Scranton...I'll be the one in the pit!

The early entrance went better than I expected it to be. I was center 8th row. Three people tried to stand in front of us and security had to come in and get them out of there. The dudes had no chance. I think the next time they do the early entrance thing they should move the back fence closer to the pit and give the warehouse people a different color wrist band.
This was simply an awesome show. The best ever put on at the Hershey venue. Rahson Ross was amazing with that horn.
The set list was great. You can't have it all....................

Hey guys......Went to the show last night my self....

Opinion/Observations:

The crowd at Hershey was pathetically quiet when the band took the stage compared to Alpine N2.

Pig was awesome to see live, but I now understand why they dont play it that often. Its not really a song that the casual fan is going to love in a live setting (In my opinion). Dave flubbed a couple of lines on the first verse too.

Dave's voice is holding up shockingly well this tour.

Recently Cornbread Recently packed so much energy and was transitioned flawlessly.

The people in my section in the front GA were acting like they were attending a funeral that is how little they jammed out during the show.

LITHOG is an absolute monster that gets better with every listen.

I think Pittsburgh is in for a real gem of a show tonight.

So yeah, I loved the show, hated the crowd.

Fucking awesome show. My first one since Spring 2009. One of my favorites. There were certain songs that they couldve played that I might have enjoyed a little more but I really couldve cared less.

Pig, Stay or Leave, Big Eyed Fish> Say Goodbye, Grey Street, Gravedigger, SW> DDTW run was solid. First BEF and Say Bye. Both back to back were amazing.

Water/Wine> Recently> Cornbread> Recently was a huge highlight. Warehouse-Ants run was great. It was my first Warehouse since 07 and the UTTAD intro was amazing.

I LOVED So Damn Lucky. In fact, I would have been completely fine with it closing out the show. I think it works completely and would have ended the show on a cool note with the Digging A Ditch ending. This show holds a special place in my heart. I thought I had fallen out of love with these guys completely, but last night just reminded how I'll always have a special place for this band. They played a great set, and sounded amazing. I wasn't planning on seeing another show after this one, but I think I just might have to.

As far as the crowd goes, directly around me I had good people. I was dead center maybe 20 yards out, tall kid orangeish hair wearing a 07 dmb tie dye and a backpack. Maybe some of you were around me. The guys right behind me were great and knowledgeable and a treat to have around. A few guys in front of me were very into it, and seemed to have hand gestured for every line of each song. I loved the enthusiasm. The were patches of people that were dead and I guess had no clue what was going on minus he popular tunes. It didnt matter to me one bit though. The last time I was at Hershey was in 2008, Roi's second to last show.

As SDL was playing, I just sort of stood there thinking about him, and this band and everything. It becomes so easy to criticize DMB from a laptop, but last night just made me so appreciative that these guys are still going. I hope everyone else could appreciate this show as much as I did.

Not sure what others think, but it seemed to me the band was truely having a great time together on stage last night. Of all the shows I've seen so far this year, that was the most I've seen all of them smile and just have fun (well, except for Carter because he just smiles 24/7 I think anyway).

Dave even made a point to say how lucky and truely happy he was to be on stage with them all each night, was a cool moment.

Just seemed like they were in a good place last night, and hopefully that continues to show.

I was dead center in the GA pit, and it was a good time. All the people around me were really into the show. There was one girl who kept shouting "I love you, Dave!" Eventually she stopped when others told her to stop. I was fine with the crowd, otherwise.

Is this the first time that the top played album at a DMB show is Some Devil?

I absolutely did and was so excited. With that said...

I was first row towards the right, fat kid in the Virginia Tech shirt. Everyone around us was great....except for the girls who thought they were doing something great by throwing out a thousand stupid glowsticks. Not much pushing, security hooked us up with free water. I will say that this was my first time in the pit/ga area and I loved it. Didn't have any pics i left my phone in the car because i almost knew it was going to rain. I'm not sold on Zac Brown Band, just not my speed I guess. Dave was great with all of the guitar strings breaking (at least 5 times), his range was excellent, I loved the energy of the show.

We were in the line at 4:40 and got front row offset to the right. I didn't have anyone push on me, there were some drunk girls who were nuts because of the heat and got pissed at the security guards shooting them with water. My fiancee took a piss 4 times (before the show) and got back to me each time During the encore and Carter throwing out sticks people got a little wild but nothing that I really had a problem with. A few people left because of the crowd and heat, but it's what you get for being front and center

doors were 5:15 for WH.. I was in line at 2pm and was front and center, kinda suprised about that but worked for me:thumbsup

In line and inside up until ZBB came on people were able to go to the bathroom, grab a water or whatnot and make their ways back to the front. Once the opener started though until the end, anyone who left seemed to be gone for good.

My wife, kids and I went to the show. We were in the front field area about 15-20 people back from the stage. It was my birthday, so we made a sign for the kids to hold that said "Carter, its my daddys birthday, we want sticks"

He saw the sign and called us up to the stage and gave us 2 sticks and told me Happy Bday personally. One of the sticks he used during the show. Best birthday ever, needless to say.

I was hoping to find anyone that may have a pic of us or carter giving us the sticks.

ok cool. good info. doors were 6:30 for WH? 2 hours in line wasnt bad for front row

someone else said doors were around 5 for warehouse maybe ten/fifteen/thirty minutes for everyone else GA. I feel comfortable saying we were at the front of the stage by 530. It was worth it, but tired as hell afterwards.

haha was that the mad dive at the end near where that guy passed out during Stay (guess he didnt want to stay) -- in all seriousness hope hes ok.

I was right in front of that scrum, and I didn't want to even try to dive into that. There's always the next show (until Wrigley anyway).

I'm glad someone else noticed the irony in that happening as well.. happened right by me and that's all I kept thinking. Kudos though to the guards who were quick and caused little distraction, and the guy seemed fine after getting some water and cooling off :thumbsup

Dave noticed that irony as well. He made a quirky face when he looked and saw the guy inside the fence.

As SDL was playing, I just sort of stood there thinking about him, and this band and everything. It becomes so easy to criticize DMB from a laptop, but last night just made me so appreciative that these guys are still going. I hope everyone else could appreciate this show as much as I did.

Wow, I also was really inspired by SDL at this concert. In the last like 5-6 min of the song I was thinking about all kinds of positive stuff... yes, I had a bit to smoke during the show. :p
Seriously, I was thinking about how these guys can deliver such a positive vibe for us, even on a hot and humid night outside. I was so overwhelmed by not only the weather, but the music and the light show as well. There are so many incredible things out there for us, if we know what to look for and we're ready to experience it. Plus when we are inspired we should try to send that positive energy on to other people... just like DMB does for us every time we attend one of their concerts. :leroi

In fact, this is one of the few songs that I wonder if it would have the same effect WITHOUT Tim... I'm so quick to reminisce about the older concerts with LeRoi and Butch jamming with Carter, but for post-2008 SDL def is one new song that feels incredible.

Two funny stories I wanted to share:

1. We got in right when ZBB started and stood to the right of the stage about six rows from the railing. I was pretty drunk so I dont know exactly when this happened, but I suddenly realized that something was splashing on my leg. I looked back and the guy next to me was pissing all over the ground next to me and my girlfriend.

Well, that didnt go over well with drunk me. I started absolutely flipping shit on this guy. "WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOURE DOING MOTHERFUCKER!!!!" I pushed him, went to hit him, but my girlfriend and some random dude who looked like Jason Mraz grabbed me and told me to stop because security was about to snatch the guy. I cooled down pretty quickly, but I must have been batshit crazy because the people around me gave me some sideways looks for a while. The mraz dude was cool though and we talked for a bit.

2. I went with about 20 other people, two of whom actually wanted to see DMB. The rest were there for ZBB. So by about 10:00, most of them had left, which was insane. Anyway, I'm walking out with my girl and a few other people, we get back to the cars, and my buddy and his girl who had left earlier, we curled up in the dirt sleeping. Cuddling. Dead serious. They came with me but I had the keys and they couldnt get in the car. So they took a nap. :lol:lol

Anyway, I had a real good time and if it was anyone on here who decided to piss on the ground next to me, I'm not sorry. I would have laid your drunk ass out had those people not grabbed me. (Glad they did though because I would have gotten arrested and thus missed a good show).

1. Dude, I'm sorry that sloppy, drunk, inconsiderate azzhole had to take a piss next to you and your girl. Good thing you two still had a fun night, though.
2a. You need better friends... mind you, I can hardly convince most of my friends into attending any concerts, so I do as well. But at least they would know better than to leave a concert early (at least not before the encore break).
2b. HA, that's what they get for skipping out on a good concert! No, seriously, thank God the rain didn't start till after the show...

Thanks for the funny stories!

Sorry brah, nature called.

OMG, I heard Dave say something about that in the recording, and I was wondering what it was about!
"Somebody sent me a toy. Thank you very much."
Listening to it now, it really sounds like the unfolding of paper was captured by the mic.

Well, it's exciting that you had that moment at the show... glad Dave received your note and read it on stage. :)
