I could be way off base here, but does anyone find Bruce Springsteen's "antics" on stage a bit over the top? Knee Slides, Preaching, Pelvic Thrusts on the Microphone Stand. I'm having an argument with someone regarding this and they claim nothing about Springsteen is Cheesy. The 2nd Verse of Rosalita where he talks about staying out late, play some pool and act real cool makes me shiver. I understand he is a legend..but are there some cornball antics on stage.
any input?

Lock this up if you'd like....I think this is the wrong place. My apologies.

I don't know about cheesy, but I'd like to have a copy of this:

although he may be cheesy, that's his thing and its been his thing for almost 40 years now. He redefined the way a live show is put on, and no one comes even close to matching his energy onstage. He may be cheesy, but it works.

Yea, I'm a big Bruce fan but he is definitely cheesy at times. But the thing is, he was one of the people that started that sort of performance. So it's cheesy now because it's cliche, but he's one of the first rock stars to really do this sort of preaching thing. By no means was he THE first, but as far as white rock guys go, he was one of the first to really ham it up like and put on a huge show like that. So he's cheesy because of himself, I guess. Also, it's always kinda weird when someone over 50 acts like that haha. But he still rocks harder and longer than 99% of todays acts.
