I am in the middle of downloading a SHN show off Antsmarching.org and normaly with my cable modem I can download shows at around 130-160 kb/s. But eversince lastnight my download speed is EXTREMELY slow at around 10 kb/s and takes an hour to download a song instead of a couple minutes. Is anyone else having this problem? I think its either too many people downloading the same show off the same server or the server is down all together. Please let me know.
Thanks,
Drew

You got 130kbs? lucky.....
I used to get around 400kbs on average, now it's about 100kbs. I chalk it up to increased traffic. Can't get too ticked over more people wanting to hear some of the best music on the planet?

Yeah I have the same problem...I was downloading songs at about a song every 5-10 minutes. I downloaded one disc out of three and all but the last song on the second disc and all of the sudden I'm getting 3KB/sec. It know takes hours to download a song.
It seemed to happen around 11pm last night I think.

Same here :( Went from an average of 300kb/sec to about 3kb/sec. :(
BUT ..... I'm still glad it's here! Definitely a great alternative to having to wait for an open slot on the ftp servers :)

i will be sure to let you know as soon as I can about it going back... but with school season around... I'm afraid that the bandwith will have to be cut to what it was early in AM.org's HTTP History...

This is not sarcastic in any way ....
What does the school season have to do with the bandwidth?
:)

our generous host comes for a school network's bandwith... and during the summer (downtime) AM.org was able to use a bunch more of the bandwith but come school time it will have to be cut down.... the HTTP server is not on the AM.org server

Hey everyone, I thought I'd let you know that I'm getting decent speeds on the server again. I'm getting a song at 60KB/sec now as opposed to the 2.9KB/sec I've been getting all day.

if you have been logged in since the slow down you many need to reconnect to get full amount... but all is reported good right now...
you may still not have full speed as you did before... this is do to a large demand for shows right now with many shows recently and the down time...
