Just wondering what other people thought about this. I have never gotten as close as the first three sections and i have been in the warehouse since 99! But now i spent a lil extra and there I am!! right in front of DAVE!! yeah that is pretty sweet huh?

I'm assuming you didn't get these from the Warehouse. That's too bad, since they'll all be getting in before you.
Good job spending that "lil extra" though. :thumbsup

Per the WH ticket page:
"For arenas with a GA Floor or stadiums with a GA Field, we are going to offer early entrance to Warehouse members pending no delays with the band’s sound check on the show day. Warehouse members with confirmed tickets for GA Floor/Field will receive an email with instructions and details closer to the show date."
So, pit ticket holders for amphitheater shows will not get early access.
Good job "not knowing all the facts" though. :thumbsup

Riot, thanks for the correction. ComeNDanceWithMe, no need to be a dickbag. I will stand corrected.
I'll still wager that the OP is gonna have a fight on his/her hands with everyone else running for the pit, so he/she is still not "guaranteed" to be "right in front of DAVE!!"

Got charged for my Blossom, PNC and WPB tickets. As history shows, this should mean I get tickets.

correct as long as they are the same price. just for example VA beach all up the up uppers are 63. so if you request PITs you can still be bumped back to any seat that is the same price and be charged even tho you requested the PITs

so its possible for some people that think they may have pit, may actually have pavillions

yep... and it seems like a lot of people still do not realize this; I think there's going to be a lot of disappointment come Thursday night (assuming the WH specifies if you were confirmed for pit or pavilion)

yea for sure based on CC charges.
i read the debates on WH...most people say that once you are confirmed they will tell you if you are confirmed for PIT or Just Reserved....but there are a few who say that they will not...so i dunno for sure :freak

Just posted by WH: " Once we have posted, we will send an email asking members to check their Ticket Status page to determine if they have been confirmed or declined. Confirmed orders will reflect the exact ticket type. Members that are confirmed for reserved tickets will have their actual seat assignments posted several weeks after the confirmation date"

okay, so this means if we requested GA Pit, and we get pavillion, it will tell us Pavillion on thursday?

It seems everyone is assuming they got pit. I suggest they think of where they have sat in the past..and go from there. If the WH usually gives you orch..chances are you'll get pit. If you usually get upper pavilion..chances are you won't get pit.

So should I find a trade for my pit tickets at SPAC N2?? Like Sec 1 Row A>? Even if at the back of the pit you're closer than Row A... I'm not sure how I feel about this...
How'd I get them? I'm a benefactor of the facility... and they set aside a FINITE amount of tickets. Previously members were not given access to pit tickets... so best I did was Row B... I'll take it...

well, that would work, except you gotta remember -- the confirmation process for Pit is COMPLETELY random; it doesn't take seniority into account at all.

i could see this meaning you will know if you are in lawn or reserved...you may not know if you have pit or pavilion in the reserved section until seat assignments come out....
seems like something the WH would do....

If OP isn't too cool to wear tennis shoes instead of flip flops and has any hint of athletic ability this won't be a problem.
I've actually seen someone sit in line for a GA show in Memphis all day...from like 6 am...and then buy two beers right after he got his ticket scanned. :shrug He was like 4 rows back and one of his beers fell out of his hand when my 14 year old brother-in-law passed him on the bleachers on the way to the field. :D

If I get PIT tickets to either night, I'm going to trade them for something with seats. I have no desire to stand the entire show jam packed with other people. I need an actual chair to sit in during So Damn Lucky and Everyday.

each venue is differrent. foe specifics you'd have to call the venue. seems the avg is 1,000 people tho, in the space of 500

Camden fits a total 0f 7000 in the Pavilion. I find it hard to believe there will be around a 1000 people in the pit.
rickyh24
02-26-2010, 05:09 PM
Actually it says 7000 for the indoor shows. I was assuming "indoor" meant the whole pavilion. I could be wrong.

thats whats been flying around here. without the seats in there, you can fit twice the amount of people. the ealry #'s were 2,000-2,500, which is ridiculous. The space at alpine devoted to pit is pretty large. looks to be about 90 feet x 15-20 feet

Seriously... I can see there being competition for the front rows, especially in the arena or stadium shows where it will be an exponential amount of more people competing...but it's not gonna be fucking Braveheart down there. I imagine there will be some crowding, pushing, jockeying for spots in the first 10-15 feet of some of the amphitheater pits, probably 75+ feet plus another 50-100+ feet of snottiness at the stadiums and arenas. But, in particular, if you get pit for the amphitheater shows, and you're okay with not being in the front 20 feet, you're gonna have a chill, great experience.
Here's the picture of Concord Sleep Train Pavillion. You can see the very front section of removable seats that will be the pit.... probably 500-700 people will be in the pit there is my guess. Once again, if you don't care about the very front, it's gonna be great. Stoked I pulled pit tickets on ticketmaster today, half hour after all I could find were back row upper levels. :multi

Also, I was at all three nights of the Greek Theater a couple years ago (100% general admission)... yes there were some shitheads freaking out about you compromising their perfect line of vision to the stage, but you could get within 50-75 feet of the stage when the show started with only a little effort and sensitivity to those around you.

No I'm talking about the site specifically for the Camden theater. They close off the lawn during the winter and have shows inside. They say that the capacity for those shows is 7000. Which leads to believer the whole Pavilion fits 7000 people.
