I'm not really into what the sound guy did to our lead singer's voice, but whatever..

I really like that. I checked out your facebook and web page, great stuff. I think the audio on the cut of shape of a women on your facebook has too much treble, but musically and lyrically I really like your stuff. I go to West Chester so its good to see local guys with talent. I will definitely try to get to a show.

I really liked "Shape of a Woman". I think the singer's voice is very cool and unique. Gotta say...the drummer is the weakest link. Sorry if you're the drummer but the drumming needs work. He can carry the beat, which is good, but the fills are boring and repetitive and there's just no excitement to the drumming at all really. Sorry to sound harsh but just trying to give an honest musical critique and opinion, which is what I believe you are looking for. I checked out the Watchtower video and everyone is really into it but the drumming doesn't seem to match the enthusiasm and excitement of the rest of the group. I noticed the drummer as I was a drummer for many years before switching to guitar so I'm always interested in what's going on in the rhythm section.
Overall you guys are pretty good. If the drummer is there to stay then I suggest listening to as many drummers as possible and start learning from them and how to make his/your fills more interesting. The playing just doesn't sound very inspired, just very 1-2-3-4 comfort zone. Need to branch out more. The same 16th note fill pattern gets old real quick. Practice more rudiments and definitely use a real kit when playing live. I wish you guys the best of luck!

Really good sound and feel to you guys, I'd love to hear more. Shape of a Woman is particularly nice. I agree with above statement about the drums being a little less-than-par than the rest of the band, but honestly, it seems to be working okay for the band so far.

Thanks for the support guys. I actually am the drummer, and I thank you for the honest criticism. I have only been playing the drums for about a year, and I have not had any lessons, nor have I really studied drumming. I have pretty much just been banging on them, unaware of what I am actually doing, haha. This is mainly becaus eI have not had to time to put some serious effort into drumming; luckily I will soon have time to really delve into drumming, and get some good practice in. I can't wait to improve, and add some variety!
On another note, our band is doing really well. We pretty much have been able to get shows at any venues we want (not stadiums) in the Philadelphia, Boston, New York areas. We are a fairly new band, and we have been progressing much faster than anticipated. We really appreciate the support and criticism. More vids up soon; our studio album will also be up later this summer, which is being recorded at Milkboy where we got to here an unknown track that Dave recorded there...

singer has a good voice, but it falls off at points. i have the same problem. there is no solution but to keep going at it, and i dont think there is a lack of that going on it.
also on that song i cant even tell there is a keyboard. is he mimicking the guitar? that seems like a waste of space, the acoustic fills the sound out already.

Yeah man, just keep practicing, like I said, what you're doing works, it could just be a bit more polished. Nice thing going on there, overall.

This was just a quick mixjob by the sound guy, nothing special. Our keyboardist is ridiculously talented and plays licks that you wouldn't believe. His volume is too low in the mix..
BTW we just opened for Motion City Soundtrack, and we will be opening for 3rd Eye Blind this summer...
