You could maybe find a used Taylor 314ce for that, but if you're looking for something new, maybe a Tak? Very underrated guitars IMO

there is no such thing as "best guitar to purchase" just for the record there are only "good guitars to purchase"

A friend of mine loves Taks. Great guitar if you ask me.

I have a Tak 12-string and have played a bunch of sixers. If I didn't already have a Taylor, I would buy a Tak

I can agree with everyone who said Takamines. I bought a g series last year for around 600 dollars and it is such an awesome guitar. I highly recommend it. If you wanna know anything about it let me know. Your best bet though to is to go to your local music store and find all the acoustics in your price range and just play them all untill you find the one that feels best for you. It's how i found my Tak. Good luck :D:D

Yeah no doubt, I guess I should have worded the title a little more coherently.

You know I have been debating getting a tak, The last time I went to GC I played quite a few and I really liked the sound it produced. Whats your G series like, What finish?

Not to intrude on this thread lol, but I would sell you my Gibson Chet Atkins SST towards the lower half of that price range ($800).

That is my g series. The sound is pretty incredible and the feel is real smooth. Plugged in it also sounds awesome. The electronics are pretty sound. It's a little bit on the heavier side but i think that just shows a little more of its solid build. All in all awesome guitar. I don't even know if they really sell these at GC anymore. I know i got the last one at my local store and I cant find it on their website. I think there are some pretty similar models though.

Like others have said, a Breedlove could be a cool addition to your lineup. Keep an eye out over the next few months as the new Breedlove American Series guitars hit dealers. Looks like they'll have some real premium appointments for much less than, say, a comparable Taylor.

You are in charge! Don't let music store salesmen intimidate you.

:thumbsup Yep, go to some guitar stores, and buy what feels good and fits into your range. Don't let price, salesmen, etc. influence you.
