hopefully some people on here agree that tp and the boys are a great american rock and roll band!!! however these jackholes(who once fought to keep their record prices loww because the company wanted to take advantage of their success and raise the price by some 50%) are now charging $150 for good seats $122 for "bad seats" and $53 for lawn! guess what its also a new album tour so if you do go to the show you'll be hearing quite a bit of it!!!! it wont be a big whiskey knock your socks off record either!!!! plus these guys, as much as i dig them only play essentially the studio versions of their songs! their mantra is "dont bore us show us the chorus" so keep that in mind when u here old tom say "your gonna put me out of a job" when the audience sings the chorus to the song breakdown!!!!!!!!! trust me he will

I don't want to knock the band, because they are one of my fav's, but I do agree that the ticket prices are outragous. I guess I would rather spend the money on going to two other concerts like Dave, instead of just one.

This thread sucks. I'm going back to the unofficial piss on tom petty and the heartbreakers thread.

What will you say when DMB has been making music for 35 years and plays a tour and charges this much money? They're well on their way there. I saw them in 95 for 22.50. This summer, that won't get me two beers. So piss on them too.

I paid $50 for decent seats in Omaha and they are touring with some pretty impressive openers. ZZ Top, Drive-by Truckers, Buddy Guy, Crosby Stills & Nash, and My Morning Jacket. I look at it like I paid $25 for Tom & the Heartbreakers and $25 for DBT... and $25 to park my damned car.

You also get a free download of the new album when it comes out. It would have been cool if it were cheaper but it wasn't so it's not.
