If you haven't noticed, Dave uses the W65 12 string model when he plays Squirm with Tim.
I guess he uses the tuning of the Veilette but an octave down? How does that work exactly? Or is it in drop D?
Doesn't the Veilette tuning start with a D instead of E? I'm assuming it's D-G-C-F-A-D?

You're correct about the tuning being D-G-C-F-A-D. The W65 is the exact tuning as the Veillette, but it is the lower octave version, meaning it's dropped down, rather than being tuned up to the higher octave that the Veillette is at (which would probably do terrible things to the guitar).
