Just curious. If you were confirmed for reserved seating for SPAC N2 from the Warehouse, what did you get and when did you join?

I jointed January 2001 and have 12OO row N1, and 8QQ for N2. This is the 1st time I've been to SPAC, so I'm of course very disappointed in my seat locations.

These seating assignments really bother you huh?

I'm just interested since there's been some speculation that SPAC N2 was not seated by seniority. No big deal. :)

So based on the poll results so far, it already seems as if "seniority" wasn't quite the method of seating for this show...

my N2 tickets are coming from a friend's account. they are dead center in the balcony, but i'm not sure what year the account it. my N1 tickets are Sec 18 (balcony, right side) and they are from a 06 account.

chad, i just thought about my other tickets i got that might help shed some light on your theory.

camden 09 - N1 i was in sec 104 row M-ish, N2 sec 203 row F
camden 10 - N1 i got sec 201 row E, N2 i got 204 row E

N1 this year is virtually the exact same tickets as N2 last year, which had to be seniority night, considering i got 104 for N1. from what i've read, people believe the balcony at spac is better than the back of the pavilion on the ground, so if i'm getting the front of the 200s on seniority night for camden, that would probably be equal to the balcony at spac. considering the shows at those 2 venues, i would say N1 is seniority night and N2 is random.

Sure thing man.

Also, as far as this poll, N1 isn't an issue -- I'm specifically asking what people's N2 seats were, because that's the night Warehouse claimed was seniority.

These results are pretty interesting though -- if SPAC N2 was seniority, how did even 4 people who joined in the past 4 years get lower pavilion?

Pit wasn't based on seniority for any show so why would it be included?

N2 was random. the proof is in the pudding.

the only thing i can think of is if the WH did a random lottery for lower, then assigned by seniority after that. then a random lottery for balcony, and assigned by seniority after that. that's the only logical result i can think of by KNOWING first day members are in the balcony.

That is entirely possible, but if that's the case they should have made that information clear from the start because you couldn't request "Balcony" specifically.

It's the same shit they pulled at the Beacon last year. I was told specifically, "Tickets will be allotted via random lottery and seats will be assigned by seniority," so needless to say I was more than a bit peeved when I checked my status and it read "Upper Balcony." :lol

he's trying to figure out if there's actually any correlation between peoples' seniority in the WH and what they actually got seat-wise, so knowing if someone got declined wouldn't actually help, since the confirmations are done completely at random anyways.

The first section of the balcony are some of the best seats in the house, I'd rather sit there then in the upper pavillion

I'm wondering if the WH feels the same way. That would explain putting day one members in the first few rows of balcony.

They probably do it by best location: pit, front floor, front balcony, back floor, back balcony, lawn

but then how come there aren't more 12/5/98'ers who got sections 1, 4 and 5??? Or did that many 12/3 and 12/4 people really request SPAC this year??

Also, remember... Pit confirmations were completely random this year, seniority wasn't taken into account at all.

What I don't understand is how so many new members got tickets somewhere in Sections 1-7. I guess it's possible that Warehouse decided that a ticket in the lower balcony was better than those seats, but if so that's a departure from the way they've done seating in the past. Plus, if it was true seniority, how is it possible that any member who joined between '98 and '01 ended up with seats in the Upper Pavilion while at least some new members received tickets in the Lowers?

The one thing the results tell me though is that the most senior members and the newest members got priority over the midyear folks (unless the lottery just worked out such that the most declines came from those middle years).

yeah.... I'm thinking the Warehouse was a little algorithmically challenged this year.

Also, has anyone tried calling or e-mailing them yet to ask what the hell is up with the weird seating assignments this year?

I would much rather be in lower pavilions than up in the balcony. The balcony just isn't the same. I've ended up with tickets up there the last couple of years.

This year requested best available for N2 and got lawn. I'm an '05 member so I figure I don't have that much seniority. I know people who were first year members and got pavilion, so......
