i always find martins but never taylors on a website like samash or musiciansfriend.. any1 know why
Taylor has asked that their guitars not be sold online. This is because you MUST buy the guitar before you purchase it. To most ears, differences in wood make major differences in sound, so you need to know all about the guitar in your hands before you purchase it. Who knows what you'd get in the mail.

I work @ FedEx and trust me. Once you've seen the shit that goes on, you would never want to buy a guitar that has to be shipped to you.
Taylor sucks? :lol
Maybe I shoulda bought a Yamaha. I mean, they make great bikes, right?

I love Yamaha bikes! So that means their guitars must kick ass! Forget my idea of a d-35, I'm saving cash for a yamaha! :multi

haha for me it was between the martin D-15 acoustic electric version... or they had a 16 series too but i dont remember the model, andit was cutaway... or the taylor 314ce and i played them all and theres just something about that taylor sound that makes it just a little better than everything else... the d-15 was mahogony and i didnt like the sound, and both martins were very bass oriented while the taylor had great highs and lows

Some makers want to closely control the advertised prices that dealers sell their product for.
