Tons of new shows on the Ants http server!

I was jut there, and holy crop. There's, like, six new shows (from late July and August). Thank you Matt!!

No problem, trying to keep as up to date as possible. The tapers/siteops are amazing at getting this stuff up and out.

Matt, I'm not saying this in a complainful way, but is the reason that the speeds are slower (don't get me wrong 40kb/s is still pretty fast, but I used to get about 120-160kb/s at the site) is because of all the massive amount of people downloading from here or another reason?

How are Ian White's sources? never heard of him and two of sources are up on the http server

Don't quote me on this, but I am willing to bet that it is the number of people downloading from the server. Around 5 and 6 am this morning I was getting about 150-175K where as currently I am only getting about 16K. This is most likely due to the increased volume of traffic during the daytime.

i think that too. This morning around 7am i was up and d/l some stuff and it was going alot faster than when i was trying this afternoon

he is a new taper..only has three or four recordings out so far...i havent listened to the two shows of his that i put up on the server...but havent heard any complaints yet...he was the fastest getting it converted so thats why it's up there

i was just listening to some of the wavs of his 8.3.02 and it sounds pretty good

Its 2 am and the server is slowed down again. Why is the http server slow even at times such as late at night or early morning. Also whats up with furthur im trying to download a show and its downloading at 50kbps. It says it will be done in 42 hours or something like that. Just to make a note I have a fast bcable modem. Is there anything I can do to speed up my downloads on servers. I can't even get onto a ftp server( tried for a couple of days now)
