I am thinking of buying the 100 pack of PNY blank CD's from Bestbuy and wanted to know if these are widely accepted for B+P. Thanks for the help.

why waste your money on quantity over quality?? I'd get something better. Almost anything is better than PNY IMO. Hell, through the weekend you can get 50 fugifilm CDs for 2.99 at best buy (22.99-10.00 instant rebate - 10.00 mail in reabate). I prefer Sony...but they are your discs for your own use so do what you want I guess.

So the fujifilms would be better? I am just trying to find a deal on CD's and I checked out Bestbuy's ad. I saw 100 and I figured that would keep me going for a while, but if the fuji is better than I will get those.
Thanks

Get the Fujis! Fujis are one of the best cdr out there, they are also made in Japan (unlike many other brand names). If you want to get the PNYs, make sure you use them for person use... like for backing up shows, mixes, or whatever.

PNY's are not even good for backing up! i've had problems extracting mp3s from them so i would stay far far away from them!

The only use I'd have for PNYs is to prop up a table leg. Might not have the same problems now that I have a new burner, but man I used to hate those things. I won't even take them if they're free after rebate. They'd have to be free plus a couple extra bucks for me to take them.

from personal experience, PNYs are great as either coasters for those oversized drinks or as mildly amusing entertainment in the foprm as a mini frisbee :lol
get the fujis :)

I just bought a 50 spindle of Memorex black 700mb 80 min cd's. They are pretty cool ooking. When i first bough them I thought just the top was black like most color cds. But they are like the old playstation disks with the black bottom surface. I guess its something for UV protection or something. Its good for me because it just seems like whenever I leave a CD-R in the sun it starts to peel off. I got a discount on mine bestcause my step bro works at best buy but I think they are 25 for 50. Work good and look good in my CD case. It gives them a professional look.

I would suggest otherwise. If you are going to be archiving SHN's make sure you archive them on quality discs. This way 2 years from now when you got to burn yourself a fresh new copy of that certain show you will be certain your SHN's will extract. I have had tons of extracting problems with PNY's, Memorex, and Imation disc. Switched to Fuji and have never had a problem.
peace!
