I don't get why they haven't announced the album recording w SL yet. Maybe the band wants to make a big splash with tour dates and album announcement at the same time.

It could be very hush hush based on the fact that the last time they recorded with him, the tape was leaked, and was arguably better/more popular than the 3 albums that followed it. They may be trying to keep it under wraps to ensure the same things doesn't happen again...

I don't remember other bands having a formal announcement of their producer, or that they're recording a new album. I don't think it's par for the course to formally announce that stuff. Just releases.
