One can assume a lot of things from this.

I really think it is the release date of the album. Why bother with promotion at all? DMB is the biggest band in the world. It will be num 1 in the charts and go platinum for sure. Just give us the CD. We deserve it

Unless they do something like they did with LT15 and include it free with the purchase of the album box set.

I don't think they actually sold LT 15 separately until sometime after Big Whiskey came out. Given that they've already announced this, looks like LT23 is more likely to be combined with the new album.

I don't think even Dave would know when the album would be ready, with name and artwork defined, and with the OK from RLM to announce it 2 weeks before the date.

It's also people like you that guarantee there is no chance in hell the band has any idea on the release of the Live Trax series and Stefan clearly proved everyone wrong on that one.

I think it's a lot more likely he would know info about their brand new studio album over a Live Trax release.

At this point I'm done obsessing over a release date. I figure it will either coincide with LT22 or it will be out this fall. Either way we're at least bound for a single or two and new songs during the tour. And like some people have already said, I'd be bummed if I got 8-10 tracks from the new album at my show, unless it really is the "number 4" we're hoping for.

I actually would love for this album to come out of nowhere, so I hope it doesn't leak and that we don't know much about it until after the release. The occasional tidbits from Stefan and Lillywhite are enough to pass the time for me.

No, I think it's obvious he was referring to the new Live Trax release.

2 weeks and 3 days led to Monday April 30th, the day which the announcement of Live Trax 22 was made.

About 8 hours before it was officially announced or anyone even knew about it, Stefan posted a video of 'Seven' from 7/14/10 and also posted a picture from DMB Almanac that had the 7/14/10 info page up.

I'm just stating that, as Lillywhite was still working on mixing the album, there was no way that Fonz would know 2 weeks in advance when the album was going to be officially announced.

I never expressed my opinion on a Live Trax release, so don't put words on my mouth.

If the album is finished, we won't wait for months before we hear anything... that is absurd. At the least, we'll hear a single or get the album name/tracklist before the summer tour.
