If anyone takes voice lessons...post tips here...I don't know if this thread will survive lol. I had my first voice lesson today (my goal is to be able to sing every dave song flawlessly and to be able to breathe better). A tip for breathing is to sing from the diaphram (don't know how to spell it). Let your belly get round, like a balloon, kinda weird but it is the right way. I am taking lessons from a f*ckin opra singer and he says thats how to do it. So do this and go up triads on the piano going aa aa aa...etc. Do this till you can't go any higher or lower. Then say yo on a certain note. Do this several times. And finally, you can say yo-o. You have diaphram loose, pull it in for yo, and then again for the o. You should do the yo excercises while gently squeezing your mouth. I hope this helps anyone out there...cause its really helping me. It gives me more vocal power and more sustain. Before I breathed wrong. I took a breath like I normally do instead of from the gut. Someone else post something if u take voice lessons...if it's just a tip you've found useful but isn't right for sure...then state that before posting...lets see how this post does :)

Interesting post. I'd be interested to hear other peoples advice.

I don't really have any. The more you sing the better you get is all I can say.
