Why playing guitar sucks...

there is never a band that needs a guitarist... i swear... looking at school i see people all the time looking for a bassist, a drummer, a singer, sax player, etc, etc... you name it... but NEVER ONCE a guitarist. Shit.

usually seems like that's because guitarists usually start them. They can play solo pretty well and everything else is an addition. Plus guitar is such a popular instrument.

my best advice is to do a solo show and maybe there will be a dummer, bassist or whoever present and they will approach you, or you could say somehting during the show about how you wanna start a band. maybe thats the best way to do it?

I'd have to say that drummers are the hardest to find. There also the most important after guitar or keyboard, depending on what type of a lead type instrument drives your music.

usually a band doesnt need a guitar.. cause a band usually starts with the guitar.. kinda hard to play songs with drums and a bass..

so unless you rock booty at guitar and can solo like a mofo.. your probably gonna have trouble joining a band already in progress..

of course.. im having trouble finding bass and piano for my band.. but i did get me a drummer :-]

Shit. because there are so many of us, but not so many bass players or drummers , etc , and yeah, because a lot of bands are founded by the guitarist
