So far it seems like the songs we've heard were indeed perfected in the studio.

They've been managing to reproduce them live, and will inevitably peak at that, and begin expanding them differently.

Mercy is probably far better in studio. If Only is just a great song and probably about the same live/studio.

Very much so agreed on bolded. So then, what do you want more...songs like Mercy, which probably can't live up to their studio recordings, songs like If Only which are just all around good songs, or songs like LITHOG, which developed to be much more than what it is on its studio recording?

I agree with everything, except Im still not digging If Only live yet. But I think I will like the studio version, especially with the addition of keys.

Mercy and Sweet I think sound the most "developed" live too me. Gaucho is still a little rough around the edges compared to the studio cut, but I think it will be a great live song eventually.

I really don't know wat to put for the poll because I want all of that. I love studio versions of songs, but I also love seeing them jammed out and developed, so i think I'm gonna sit this one out haha

To me DMB is a live act. That's where they are at their best. They are great in the studio but I'd rather the songs have room to grow live! I really like all 4 songs so far!

The songs need to be good live...that's what matters and always has mattered. That's why this band is where their at. BTCS is so widely hailed because the songs sound fantastic in the studio and fantastic live.

If the studio versions leave something on the table, but the live versions are absolutely killer, i will take that everytime. I rarely ever listen to studio DMB. It is almost always live.
