Well, I bit the bullet and bought these. I've always been disappointed with tab books, as they rarely do anything groundbreaking in our understanding of Dave's playing. These books are really no different. They're accurate more often then their album counterparts, but not as accurate as tabs on the net.

Also, what's this garbage about "Guitar 1 (Acoustic), Guitar 2 (Electric), Guitar 3 (Electric)"? Ummm... I only see two up there, pal...

So why should you buy them?

They're filled with tabs for Tim's parts. For anybody aspiring to do some duos in Tim's style, these might not be a bad pickup. You aren't going to get completely accurate stuff for Dave's parts (with the possible exception of his Jimi Thing solo), you'll find it well worth the transcription of Tim's parts.

could the third guitar part be victor, or maybe even rudman?

the guitar 1, guitar 2, guitar 3 type thing in this case is Dave, Tim and then depending on the song Boyd or Leroi's part tabbed for guitar. and usually those are unplayable anyway. I remember a part in, I think it is lie in our graves guitar 3 played a chord and they had this tabbed out

Thats funny, a bunch of people have looked down their noses at me when I told them I've only gotten tabs of the net

I get comments like "well I only use the official books, because they are the only ones that are accurate" or "none of the tabs on the internet are accurate" that type of shit

I usually say, well I dont really care just as long as it sounds the same

With the resources we have (vids, auds and all), it's no surprise that some of our tabbers get the songs near perfect. I bet, in general though, outside the DMB community, online tabs are probably pretty shitty.
