look what guster did to mayer on the final date of their "joint" tour.
http://www.guster.com/gallery/RoadJournal/102-0259_IMG.jpg
" I never wrote about that final Mayer/Guster show in Atlanta. We knew there would be some sort of on-stage hazing expected of us, but we weren't sure how far to take it... all we knew was we wanted to involve nudity and we wanted to involve chicken buckets, but we didn't want to interrupt John's flow too much. But then their band came out during Happier and set up a card table on stage and played blackjack through the whole song. They even had some "waitress" come out and serve them drinks. Chris, their stage manager, was putting golf balls right in front of me and I kept thinking "man, he hasn't made one putt yet" and "man, we're gonna have to RUIN you're body is a wonderland tonight." And so we did. The diaper idea was really stolen from the Barenaked Ladies, who did it to us a few times during Either Way in 2000. We'd requested big, family-size, identity-obscuring chicken buckets but I think we got the mashed potato buckets that barely fit over our heads. I think people knew it was us. "

whenever rivals play, like msu and u of m, their record rarely shows anything of who will likely win...it's all about who is more up for taht game, you could have a team that is awful and still come out victorious over the higher rated team just because they want it a lot more, that is what makes rivalry games so great

True, any team can pass all over our secondary. But that does not include Marlin Jackson, clearly the best CB in the Big Ten. And guess who will be attached to Charles Rogers at the hip for the entire game? BOOYAH. State's other receivers - we can handle. Rogers will probably have 10-15 catches but I'd be surprised if he gets open deep like he has been against other teams.

this weeks was good. highlights for me:
ralphie taking it in the ass from Janice, :lol
it definately looks like furio is going to get with carmela somehow
bobby is the man, it sucks that his wife died
and tony going off at the end, taking howard zinn and everything was awesome...perfect sopranos moment there.

Seriously...California?
We did look good against Illinois, I think they've found their niche.
But our offense lives and dies by Navarre at this point. And if he isn't getting anything done on offense that means the defense is out there the majority of the game, and that's when they start giving up points. Navarre is very hot/cold, and for big games he tends not to play well (i.e. Notre Dame). All I'm saying, just don't get over confident against MSU, they can make big plays and they will be all riled up to come beat us.

indeed there were many dropped balls, but there were just so many bad throws or missed recievers, especially the latter. You had to be there and understand what you are looking to see how absolutely terrible he played that game.

i've heard it and i'm in the process of getting it. i've got the 24th in my possession right now and it's much better sounding than the 23rd is.
:)
then again, most IEMs don't sound too good to me anyway, but since I have found 0 good/decent sources from Gund the IEM is kind of nice..
also, I was forced to shut the server down by itd. too many transfers in my alotted time span pissed them off. atleast i get to stay in the dorm.
but if anyone wants 4.24.02, i can spread that, or i was going to matrix is when i stopped being lazy and i can get that to Copa only people.

The anger that is inside of me right now is just unprecidented. I guess I'll have to make the 4 hour drive to Chicago and do it somehow without my rents finding out considering it's finals week and they'd have my balls and my tuition money if I pull that. But shit, MI got fucked this year. I'm starting to take offense.

I guess DMB not coming to Michigan or Ohio is good for me. I don't have the money to spend and I would just throw tix down on the credit card. I'll just have to be patient and wait until spring or summer.

ok sorry to interject some logic here but,
a) NYC has the demand, Michigan does not.
b) no, they really shouldn't announce a new date, their tour is pretty nice as it is and if anything, it'd be boston.
c) ask a lot of states that have NEVER gotten DMB how they feel? i'm sure they could make you feel better about the 2 shows last year and the 1 show this year, not to mention numerous shows within driving distance.
d) no they really don't owe you anything. they have the most generous taping policy of any mainstream band around; they toured over 75 dates this year; they are one of the most fan friendly bands of the past 10 years; and they do tons of other things to make you, the fan, happy.
if anything you owe them. i'm sure they'd be happy to play a nice show for you at the United Center of U of I colliseum if you go.
sure, i'm down that there is no show in michigan but i also realize that their fanbase is mainly in chicago and the east coast and that i should be happy that i saw a ton of shows this year.
rant done.

wait, were you saying that to be memorable or just saying it...
cause I decided I like the candid responses I was just sayin it to say it, I didn't see your previous post about memorable quotes. I guess that was a good one even though I wasnt trying.

Also, is there anyone in the East Lansing area that wants to buy me some beer? We just put our last case in the fridge, and that should be gone by tonight....
I love when I go home and come back to MSU with 5 cases. My parents love it. Last time I came home they asked my why I took home 4 empty suitcase/bag things. They knew what they were for when my older brother and I come home with 5 cases. Busch Light of course.

Bob, I am honored to have three quotes in your signature.
First off I would would like to give big ups to the man upstairs! And lastly I would like to thank my thirst for alcohol that keeps me going through the hard times and gives me beer goggles.

well i put in my request with the warehouse for both msg shows, wow, this is the worst weekend ever, my homecoming week was this week, but stupid student leadership schedules the dance for next week, so instead of having the dance the week when a) the wolverines don't play and b) the lions don't play, they fuck it all up. However the tailgate that 6 of my friends and i made for the red cross last year and this year raised around $1600 so that's good news. Bad news, had to clean it up (the entire inside of the gym (inside cause of the rain) was just filled with water) and ended up missing the first quarter when we scored a td. Oh well, we still won the game 19-8, our record 5-1, excellent.

Hey, I gotta a question, if I'm gonna request tickets for Chicago, and my friend wants me to request shows for him in Florida and Georgia, will that effect my chance of getting Chicago tix? I'm a 4th year, but I don't remember the policy exactly...and I have never had to worry about it till now? Any info?

I am not sure exactly, the best i could do is tell you that for the spring tour i requested detroit toronto and one chicago and i got them all, so it didn't hurt my chances i guess...I am not really sure though

So I went to PJ's today (a used CD place in Ann Arbor) they sell DMB bootlegs there and they were selling The Comerica Park show for 45 bucks. I had remembered seeing it there before and I went back to check to make sure it wasn't a different source then ones we already had.
The guy played it for me and it was Lincoln's source.
This same store is selling 3-14-99 only 2 discs for freaking 50 bucks!

After a long weekend here at MSU, our fridge is empty of any beer. If we don't get some by Thursday, there will be problems. This has never happened before here. We usally always have at least a 2 case backup stash, but now nothing. Tis a dark day.

 I didn't really think Ralphie was going to get clipped...but when he got in that elevator I thought he was done for. I love dramatic intensity.
Sopranos is hands down the best show on TV.
Simpsons is the funniest show on TV but not the best.

hell yeah, i thought that guy was just gonna clip him when he got out and asked him "what his fucking problem was." i thought he'd do it then...but Johnny Sack! Jesus, think what would happen if they clipped him...
