Why do they keep playing Everyday as the closer? God this is upsetting to see. Everyday is a good song and it gets the crowd going when they sing #36 but it's not a closer. This is getting irritating.

Well, we weren't too satisfied to say the least. The bus ride there sucked at about double its capacity. The set was great, but as we know they've played most of it already this tour. The encore was exactly the same as the other night. The only nice suprise was Dave stopping Loving Wings 30 seconds in. Then we walked back the 3 miles to our hotel because there were so many people that getting a cab was next to impossible, that wasn't fun. But, it was DMB, so we really shouldn't complain, they just need to mix things up a bit more. We're about to head to Champaign, gotta go...

woo that show was amazing last night. me and my friend kate had a lot of fun. DMB played with a lot of energy, and while yes, it was disappointing to have Everyday as a closer, overall, it was a very, very good show. and i met a fellow ant there too.

Yeah that was part of the reason... the whole "If you have time to go to Chicago during finals, you have time to pay your own tuition" thing was stupid. But if I went she'd have made my life hell of Christmas break, and I really don't want or need that. You have to know my mom.

Most likely she'd call my brother (who goes to school here as well), he's kind of absent minded, and so she'd ask him, hey is the truck there (I park my truck at my brother's house) and he'd say, "no Matt took it." and she'd say "oh he did? where?" my brother: "I dunno, chicago maybe" and that's how she'd know, or she'd call my apartment and ask for me and one of my dipshit roommates would tell her I went to Chicago because they are morons. So in other words she'd check up on me. Or if she was really suspicious she'd have my dad ask my brother to get something off the registration in the truck and he'd have to be like "it's not here..." and then they'd make life absolute hell for me. Trust me, my mom can be very vidictive about this kinda stuff. She'd find out, she had ways to find out everything I did in High School and she still has her ways to find out now...you have to know my mom. Plus the Chicago show was mediocre...so oh well.

Night one was pretty average.....UNiTED CENTER was huge and I had some pretty good seats. Highlights were Pig, Nancies, Stone.
2nd night was a lot better....tons of jamming and the Halloween tease was so money it didn't even know it.
Somebody threw a red hat on to the stage during the encore break and when Dave came out he put it on for a little bit....then he said his head was too big.
Overall pretty good shows.....same opener 2 nights in a row???? has that ever happend??

Graham/Spartan36 pretty much summed up the weekend we had but I have 2 kinda crazy stories that happened to me.
First off I sat next to the same guy (he also had a single tickets) for both 12/13 and 12/14 which was so random.
Then we were at the bar at the Premier Inn and I walk in and see this guy named Nick from Memphis that I had met back in April at Allstate. I chilled with him at the Radisson in our hotel room, played guitar and smoked him down so it was pretty wild to see him again.
Small world.
Had a great time.

You get 50MB but it slips a little to the 52MB.
Your files will be at www.umich.edu/~uniquename/
And if you use too much bandwidth, you get a nice little email from ITD.

Not random at all through the Warehouse, me and another kid sat next to each other at all three Comerica Park shows, and we both had double tickets.

It is a small world. We talked with a couple (a guy with a really hot girl) in Chicago who were on their way to the show. We were some the first ones on the bus before it got double stuffed.
Then as I was walking up the stairs at Assembly Hall to find my seat, this same girl said hi to me They were just a few rows in front of me. I'm pretty good at recognizing faces, but hell, she actually recognized me! :)

Here's the back of a bootleg t-shirt we got after the UC show. It's just a bunch of random cities listed with no dates. Notice the state that Detroit's in :p
I have a lot more pics I took while in downtown Chicago (not in UC though). I'll upload them to my directory tonight or tomorrow. I did sneak my camera into Assembly Hall, but I was so far away the pics didn't really turn out good, even with a digital camera. They didn't even frisk us, they just checked our waistlines and let us in.

Glad we could help out Chris/cavecricket34 by giving him a ride and a place to stay.
did you have your East Lansing shirt on last night? I thought for sure I saw you after the show inside of assembly hall still..by the west entrance.
and yes, I'm pretty sure they've opened with the same thing two nights in a row

ha ha I don't have black hair.
I actually have short brown hair.....come to think of it I don't think Chris got a picture of either me or james this weekend.....I always get cameras and never end up taking any pictures.
I left my Polaris/RiVERBEND camera in the taxi that was going to Cinci....not to mention countless other times when I've left cameras in different places.

I had the best of intentions of going to see them (my first opening act ever) but James and I got a late start pre-drinking and then the Taxi ride over was kind of a pain in the ass.
I really didn't get that drunk on Sat....or Friday for that matter.....so It probably would've been better to spend my time seeing them.

Ok, I know people are going to disagree with me on this but I don't care.
After listening to 7-5-00 tonight while studying I've decided that it's the closest thing to a perfect show we're ever going to get. There is not a song in that show that isn't just amazing, that isn't perfect. Not to mention Busted Stuff and Sweet Up and Down in that show. I honestly believe that Say Goodbye as an opener is the perfect way to start a show. It just sets a mood, makes you just glad to be alive. Graves was unreal, Boyd was perfect, Butch was perfect. Grey Street was so powerful. Even True Reflections was amazing that night. The Maker in the encore...ugh. Satellite could not have been more perfectly placed, just as the night sky cleared, the moon came out, the stars shined bright. That night was truely magical and was the best DMB performance I will ever see, that's as close to perfect as it gets. No recording will EVER do that show justice, never ever. I never want a song from that show released because people will find something to bitch about, and they won't know how wrong they are. I miss those days.

I couldn't agree with that anymore. Even the garbage AUD's sound amazing to me though honestly. There was something about that show that just transcended all things rational for those few moments and took us to some other place. Absolutely amazing show...

there was not a single bad song that entire night, it was an absolutely perfect set. the creek was good, but it doesn't touch 7/5/00...just looking at the set you can see that it's unique and special, but if you weren't there, you really will never be able to fathom how great it was.

The chem final wasn't too bad this morning, but it's the last time we're having class, meaning it's the last time I'm going to see my classmates, meaning I may not see my friend Abby anymore :(. We had a geology class together too, so we saw each other everyday. I just never got around to asking her out.
But the good part is that I know her email and her AIM handle. She's on my buddy list, but she doesn't know it.
How should I go about this? Should I use email so it's not as intrusive, or should I use AIM and play it cool for a few minutes? Or should I just wait until next semester, figure out her schedule, and 'accidentely' run into to her somewhere on campus?

How should I go about this? Should I use email so it's not as intrusive, or should I use AIM and play it cool for a few minutes? Or should I just wait until next semester, figure out her schedule, and 'accidentely' run into to her somewhere on campus?
AIM her, it can't hurt anything...that's what i would do anyway

Yeah, and if she wonders why you have her Screenname, just play it off as a joke and say, "Well all stalkers have their means" or something like that.

or play it off like she gave you her screen name in class one time and she just forgot...try to get her as confused as possible and it might slide by:p

Yeah, when girls get confused they usually prefer to move onto the next subject...

Actually I just searched for users with her email address, which I found on the UM directory, and her handle came up.
You can tell I'm obsessed with DMB. She seemed somewhat interested in me at first, but I had my eye on someone else at the time. The thing that really turned me on was when I first searched for her on the directory and found out she's from Virginia!

She'll pick, then you can call her bluff, on the cards of love...or something like that.

She doesn't seem that into DMB. I was hoping she was when I bought tickets for the UC and UI shows, but when I told her she really didn't seem interested. She listens to Metallica and Alice in Chains and stuff like that. She's a little odd, but that's what I like about her.

I decided that she probably didn't like me, with or without my drinking habits, so I stuck with the drinking...good choice if you ask me.
I thought that this was pretty humorous:lol

I am well aware of that...I live in Ann Arbor and went to U of M for four years...
What I was saying is...since you talked to her in class almost everyday, why can't you just call her up? If you're good friends, why aren't you comfortable calling her up (I'm talking about next semester of course)? I don't think she'd mind!
**for the record, I don't claim to be an expert on women...in fact I've only dated one girl in my whole life, and I happen to be married to her now :D

Oh, sorry, I didn't read it that well the first time.
I'm not comfortable calling anybody up. It doesn't matter who it is or what it's about. It's just always been that way with me. I'd much rather do it in person.

Thanks jedi. If anyone wants to see my grainy pics from row 17 in the upper level, click on the Saturday-Champaign folder in my directory. Most of them suck, but #'s 6, 8, 18, and 23 aren't bad. There's also some pics of downtown Chicago that I took while Graham and James were still snoozin' that morning. The Halloween tease is in there too :)

Listen man...there's nothing wrong with letting the girls know that you're money and that you want to party. Just say this to her...
"Here's what I'm gonna ask of you. We're going to be spending the night in New York, so it works out well for all of us. I want you to take it back to the business class; I want you to round up a couple of honeys. At our hotel room we're gonna have kind of a pool party. California gangster-style, you know what I mean?"
You'll have her in no time at all!
