I've got a 314 and love it. I got mine right when dave's signature martin came out, and I really wanted to get that, but it was to expensive, so I bought the taylor instead. Loves like dave realized where the good sound was a little later in his career.;)

I finally got the guitar of my dreams the 314ce Taylor last weekend, thanks to the inheritance from my greatgrandmother, and the guitar is a great instrument. I really don't think I'll touch my other guitar again. The guitar sounds great, I was even happier when I learned RAVEN on this guitar it sounds really really good on the Taylor, and this is unplugged, you plug this baby in and it sounds even better, as I did when I was over at my fiance's. It just really is a great guitar overall IMO. The action is great, the only problem I have run into is this guitar takes a week to adjust to the climate, I was tuning it every time I played it and it would start low and I'd tune it right then it would become too high and I ended up tuning it how it originally was set, but this hasn't happened as much these last few days.
As for electronics, the guy at the music store told me it costs about 40-50 bucks for the pickup and anywhere from 20-50 bucks for installation, and it only takes about twenty minutes to do, so it isn't that expensive or time consuming.

Yeah on September 13, I got a 314ce. It's like a dream come true. I have always loved Taylor guitars but I especially wanted one when Dave got his 914ce. I highly recommemnd buying one. (Best investment youll ever make). Sound is AMAZING. I played for 3 hours straight after getting it. Let me know if you get it.

i just played the 914ce today and i couldnt beleive how great it was. i was thinkin about workin a few more hours a day this summer so i could get it (i know summer isnt for another 7 months but i had this big plan pn how to get a taylor by august), and then i found out that my dads company probably doesnt need a computer repair man and theres a slim chance my mom will give me a ride down to best buy everyday. suggestions for money are needed

I think dave plays a 714ce. Yea, he does. I just checked dmband.com
My dream guitar is a 710ce. I like the dreadnought style much better than Grand Acoustic or Grand Concert.

\ Dave doesnt really play the 714 these days anymore. His main axe lately as far as Taylors go have been his 3 914ce's, one with the Venecian inlays and sharp cutaway. One with the normal cutaway and the venecian inlays. And one normal cutaway without the inlays.

I got my 314ce 4-5 months ago and I have loved everyday since then. I did a lot of research before I got it though. Make sure you get the best price for it. Especially if you are going to guitar center. Don't settle for antthing more than 1000. Enojy!
