Playing Dave on a Cello (Help)

Anyone here play the Cello to some dave tunes? I was thinking of trying to learn a few tunes from my favorite band, but didn't know how to go about it. Tabs are easy enough for guitar, but for Cello should I just buy some violin sheet music and transpose it all down to bass clef? Any easier way?

what you can do too is take the bass notes of the main guitar chords of the song and work around those. #41 is pretty easy in that respect, just take the bass note and build around it for the cello. by the way, fucking great idea.

Well what I do for harmony play is just mess around in the same key as the song, and it sounds great but If I were to do the melody of the song I would have to play it alot different..

I just ordered the "Just the riffs for violin" book off ebay so that should help me out. I will just have to drop all the notes to bass clef.
