Right-click, Choose "Save as" (www.wpi.edu/~robsccr/ghost2.mp3)

My routing is:

Guitar: Taylor 410 -> Fishman GII equalizer -> Boss OC-2 Octave Pedal -> Line6 DL4 Delay Modeler -> Computer

Voice: Audio Technica 3035 -> Tube MP preamp -> Line6 DL4.

This is all done live. There is some skipping thanks to the fact I was doing 10 other things with my computer when I recorded this.

I just put up Madrigals, too.

Temp Song Page (www.wpi.edu/~robsccr/vero.html)

I tried to fix the voice problem in Madrigals- I totally agree. Of course, if I had my way, I'd turn the vocals all the way down. My voice sucks.

I had a different problem in Madrigals... I use a monitor program so I can hear what's going on from the guitar setup. Well, that program started delaying, so some of the looping isn't timed properly in the outro. Grr... Stupid random problems. I can't wait to get this worked out, because the setup, overall, works beautifully. The mic records voice and some guitar, the pickup makes the guitar crisp, it's clean from hiss, etc.

i liked the ghost->beams better than madrigals...but good job on both
as for your voice...it's not great, but its not as bad as you think it is..nice work

I redid both songs. I'm alot happier with both of them, but there's still a long way to go. They're available at the same link.

I had a Fishman Active Matrix Natural II installed in my guitar.

Oh, the difference a pickup makes...

Guitar sounds really nice and you definitely have the delay and all that stuff down nicely. I still think you can bring the voice out a little bit. I know you don't like your voice, but you should post one cover where you really sing nice and loud. Let us hear what that would sound like, if we don't like it then you can always go back to your old way.
Good job overall though!

They turn my voice up at the coffeehouse. Scares the shit out of me. I haven't been able to bring myself to do it yet. Maybe someday...

Good work Rob... I'm not such a Howie Day fan, but you sounded ok. You have the delay stuff down. Keep up the good work! I know that frustration with having vocals be the weak point of your performance. My only advice is to practice, practice, practice. Sing everything. It'll get better! And your guitar playing sounds just fine.
