how abuot taking some of those tabs and actualy attempting to play them. You can easily make the assesment on whats easy or hard to play by (get this) playing it.

try proudest monkey, its what i started with. and also at the same time you could try sattelite. it might seem hard, but once you know that, you'll know alot of other songs.

Lie in Our Graves is a good song to learn...it will also teach you some strumming pattern stuff...and the Satelite hand stretch takes a while to master...but what I did was just play the riff really slowly....over and over...ad nauseum...until I got the hand stretches. Once you get the "add9" chord used in the Satelite riff...you'll be able to play many of Dave's riffs as well as some Police songs (Message in A Bottle, Every Breath You Take). These stretches still give me trouble, though.

in my opinion, Grey st. is by far the easiest song. also try trippin billies, crash, two step, and maybe drive in drive out

i'm still a newbie to guitar..but typical situation, crash, proudest monkey..were the first ones i started off with..im working on satellite right now. almost there..i just have to start speeding it up.....(u do really start to get sick from the riff...over and over again) but it will be worth the practice in a few days :D

I agree with Jimi there. Those are good ones to learn. Everyone else giving this guy crap for asking here, just settle down. Don't read the topic, and it won't hurt you. Give it a shot.

I agree, but you may need to change the fingering.

Well he just gets that extra "ding" sound wiht the 12 string. It sounds fine with a 6 tho.

I have been playing guitar for only a few weeks. I have found "Where Are You Going" and "Christmas Song" to be really simple. Practice makes perfect though. Good luck!
