So I have limited it down to two kinds...which do you guys have and which do you suggest:
1) Fishman Natural 1 which has the pre amp in it already...would cost w/ install. 200 bucks

2) LR Baggs LB6 which would require me to buy a external pre amp would cost w/ install closer to 275

i would like to do some at-home recording, and be able to plug in easily for coffeehouse gigs...that is what i would be playing

Guitars:
B-Band 1470 AST: Collings OM2HC
Fishman Matrix Natural II: Martin D-35

strings are about 2 weeks old on both guitars, EQ settings are exactly the same. The Fishman is a little hotter on the gain- abouyt 4db on the recording and I normalized them to the same volume. Take a listen :)

This is my unpaid advertisement for B-Band pickups ;) I ordered the pre-amp and pickup for $90 bucks, and installed it myself (VERY EASY). Only thing I had to have done was have the local guitar shop ream out the endpin jack so I could mount the pre-amp. Listen and see what you think

look up the Lr baggs I-beam. It sounds great and its cheaper than both of those. I use it for recording gigs and its easy to install.
