I have quite a few shows in shn format because I have taken advantge of the ftp servers and etree while it was alive.
I am fairly computer illiterate and doubt I could set up a server (currently using Smart FTP). Downloading and uploading I have mastered!!
If anyone wants to trade online or would just like an upload let me know.
How come when I upload my download speed drops way off? Downloading speed is great but as soon as I upload both speeds go for a shit.

:rolleyes: that happens to me as well (when i am at home on cable) most isps do that to you. i know road runner does, and that's what i have. example - i'll be downloading from the news server at around 300k/sec, but if i start uploading something, that number drops to around 40k :freak anyway, it depends on the isp and whatnot. luckily at school my uploading has no effect on my downloading (at super high speeds :D )

Because for the ISP downloading cost them a big ZERO. While uploading is whats the expensive part. So they try to restrict it as much as they can.
