sounds like there needs to be something setup to monitor the status of the http server ... kinda like the online/offline on the ftp page.

get to work momo :D

it has just become really busy since etree went down and it takes a while for the login process. sometimes it will timeout.

There is also a thread in this forum that is dedicated to the status of the HTTP.

From Joe. M concerning offline/online status like ftp
The way the HTTP Server is setup it's not ideal to use a method simular to what we do for the ftps. Though it would be possible to do, the HTTP Server is down 3days a month. It doesn't make much sense to code and implement something that will read online 90+% of the time. Included some of the performance side affects of having something automated to continuely check the status.

for me personally i don't really care ... just hate seeing all these threads. would be cool to have a little status button that shows up almost everywhere.

The HTTP may be getting some "work done". If all goes well, we will then think about doing something like this. As for now I don't see it happening. But if people really bug us for it, it would probably just get put up.

Automatic Server Status

see what happens when you show off :D

The realtime SHN Server status is down for the time being due to this page loading slower because of it. We might remedy this in the future.
