I got 12-7-93 and noticed that it is a mono version
So I converted it to stereo, in sound forge, however it is only in the front speakers. I was wondering if anyone knows how to duplicate that audio and somehow get it so it plays in all 4 speakers. Front/Back/Right/Left. I dont care if it isnt true stereo, just as long as I can get it in all 4.

Help much appreciated.

I guess my thinking is why did you change it?

All performances are essentially mono recordings. If you don't mess with it, it should be fine.

Second, I downloaded a track off of AM.org and it's "stereo".

So the problem is when you messed with it in soundforge. And since no one is really sure what you did we don't know how to fix it. Another cause could be that lost something when you were messing with it. Something that you won't be able to return to how it originally was.

I think an alternative reason that there is less help on this question is the fact that you messed with the recording thus making it "polluted". We don't like to do that normally unless it's necessary because now there would be an alternate version of it being spread. (which goes against everything we try to maintain so hard)

Hope some of this helped.

once it's stereo, the left channel will come in in the front left and back left channels and the right channel will come in through the front right and back right channels.

or you could've just left it alone...

ok maybe i just typed it wrong
or somehow my thoughts got messed up when trying to convey the message.

The original files are NOT coming up in all four channels
the original files only work in my front speakers.
I did check the fader to see if it was turned to only the front speakers and it was not.

Therefore my conclusion was that it was a mono recording with output to only the front speakers.

Did you try listening to it in a 4 speaker environment?
if so maybe you would see that it is only showin up in the front.

It has to be the way your stereo is set up then.
