Can you be more specific, as far as I know there is no such chord as a C2? Do you mean just a variation of C?

its probably this: x-3-2-0-3-0 that's a Csus2 or Csus9 or Cadd2 or Cadd9 or C/2 or C/9 or C2 or C9. :)

Thats not a sus2 or a sus9 cause it has a 3rd in it which is absent in a sus2 or 4 chord. It's not a true 9th because it doesn't contain a 7th like a 9th would (C,E,G,-Bb-,D). So it's just a plain old C2 (Cadd2). :multi

I should've known I was gonna get shot down for that one :)
but isn't more of of Cadd9 cause your adding the 9th scale degree up from the bass C note of the chord?

You were right, I went to an online chord database, and posted the actually C2 chord they had listed, which is the same as you posted. Cadd9 is the same, except it has the high e-string on 3rd fret as well.

True it could be considered an ad9.....sorry I was just looking at the end of the post where it said C/2, C/9, C2, C9. Didnt see the add 9 .. yeah an add9 it is too.

2 and 9 are the same note. So if you add or suspend either one it would essentially be the same.

well if you were to play a Gadd2 than you'd play this: 3-0-0-0-0-3
which would sound blech. but a Gadd9 would be this 3-(2)-0-2-0-3 which sounds kinda nice. the higher octave A note is easier on the ear than the low A does. the ear tends to gravitate to the bass notes.
