if I use it with an amplified accoustic guitar? I don't quite get it?

it will give a 12-string-esque sound.

actually, I think it kinda mellows out the sound. Similar to what Dave's guitar sounds like on the LWS version of Busted Stuff, and on Captain. But I'm not sure what other effects he uses.

I think studio J.T.R is a perfect example of what it sounds like with some reverb

what a chorus pedal does (I think) is it takes your signal and splits it into two (both coming out of the same amp): One is the normal sound of your guitar, the other is the sound just slightly flat of the original sound. This is what makes it sound like more than one guitar being played (or more than one string, ie. 12-stringish).

somehow that's not really what mine seems to do. It sort of just makes it sound 'glowy' if that makes sense.
