Hey All,
I was looking at the tab for Bron-Yr-Aur Stomp by Zeppelin. The tuning is as follows: CFCFAF from low to high. How the hell do I tune myy guitar to that. Im at college and I left my electric tuner at home........any suggestions???
Peace,
Justin

tune the low E down to C by getting it in tune with the C note on the A string on the 3rd fret.
tune the A string down to F by getting it in tune with the F note on the D string on the 3rd fret.
tune the D string down to C by getting it in tune with the C note on the B string on the 1st fret.
tune the G string down to F by getting it in tune with the F note on the high e string on the 1st fret.
tune the B string down to A by getting it in tune with the A note on the high e string on the 5th fret.
tune the high e string up to F by getting in tune with the now open F strings (3rd and 5th strings)
if you have a good ear, this can work. there's probably other ways to tune it so anyone else?

Bah! It's a terrible hassle having to retune the entire guitar just for one song! Becomes quite a pain. Soon the point is reached where the guitar will not be retuned for any song!
Thought of trying to play it in a different key? Not familiar with the song so I can't offer any particular insight.

no problem. It's fun to fool around in alternate tunings from time to time. It gets you out of the rut of playing the same shit all the time, and it's good practice going in and out of tunings to develop the ear and whatnot.
good luck with the song, its a great one. I havn't tried it yet, but I might very soon.
