Which of the above Dave's guitars are your favorite, and what is the best to the least in order?

Like the Taylors the most. I love the Martins too, but for me personally they don't seem as playable, and I like cut aways.
I hate both the Chet and Ovations.

I picked Taylor, but I really don't pay that much attention to what guitar he's using too much, mostly just on the DVDs I do, I like the Taylors.

I love Martins and Taylors, but I voted for the Jerry Jones baritone simply because it has allowed dave to open up to a new sound and I can think he will write some truely amazing songs on this guitar in the future!

Here's my opinion, best to least favorite:
1. Martins - by far the best sounding guitars that dave uses. While most argue that they don't cut through the band's sound as well as the Taylors, I don't think he should sacrifice overall tone for being heard a little better.
2. Lakewood - I love the sound of the Live at Luther College album.
3. Taylors - Everyone is going to be pissed at me for putting them low, but they just sound too boxy to me.
4. Chet Atkins - Average sound.
5. Ovation Celebrity - Not a great guitar, but he got a suprisingly good sound out of it.
6. Jerry Jones Bari - The guitar tech should just take some extra time and figure out a way to get a good distorted sound out of this guitar. Some of those The Space Between performances made me cringe.
7. Modulus/Yamaha - Don't really have any material of him playing these, so I don't really know how they sound.

He used it on 6/16/01 in Foxboro, that's the only time I've seen it live. I think that show is pretty widely available if you want to take a listen.

One time he plays it (i know for a fact bc i have the video) is April 5, 1992. It was at the Van Ryper's Music Festival in Charlottesville, Virginia. He has an ebony natural finishes on the two.

Could that be for stefan maybe? Or was it for dave's guitars only?

I like the Martins the best. They are just great guitars. Taylors come in close second.

I don't particularly care for the Taylors he played this tour, they sound a little too clanky to me. I prefer the sound from a little earlier days, but that's just me.

Wow, hadn't even noticed. I just started reading this section of the forums a couple days ago and saw it at the top. Wonder why this one was resurfaced.

Martin DM3MD can not be beat. Best guitar Dave plays IMO.
Can beat the look of the Chet though. Old Skool rules.
