to state my goals for tommorow again, because I need the post and I am bored.

- drink alot
- smoke a little bit of that something right
- meet some people
- play a little guitar to a sweet lady
- and after that you know what comes next
- wake up in her room
- get some breakfest - kegs and eggs
- drive home after a quality wake and bake

well at first, you stole some kids bike... then in an angered notion the kid ran after you and threw a stick into the wheels of the bike. and sure enough, you flew from it (limbs everywhere) and the kid left you in the road and went on his merry way. you laid there for about 2 hours until a car came racing down the highway, but luckily they saw you and the rest is history!

The almanac ranks 1 being the rarest based on the
number of shows each show the song is played, opener, closer,
and encore.

6-18-03 opened with Granny (only time this tour)
WYA was the set closer for 3 times?
and the encore Ants and Stone appear only a few
times so 6-18-03 is ranked 2 in the tour so far.
They give each song a rarity number just like ants.

here's my report from last night show:

Canadians are much better concert goers, but I've decided that's only because the drinking age is lower so they all have a higher tolerance than the 12-year-olds drinking in the States. Oh yeah, they are also a lot more mellow because they all are stoned. To quote the ladies who accompanied me on this trip, Canada is like "a fairy dreamland."

more info to see Farm Aid

OLUMBUS, Ohio-After Americans have enjoyed their Thanksgiving dinner, they’ll have a chance to enjoy great music and learn why family farming is essential to keeping quality food on their tables. Farm Aid announced today that Farm Aid 2003 Presented by Silk Soymilk will be telecast as a 2-hour special on Thanksgiving evening, Nov. 27. The program will air in prime time, reaching TV viewers across America.

"What more appropriate time than Thanksgiving, America’s own holiday, to express our gratitude for those who produce our food," said Carolyn Mugar, Farm Aid Executive Director.

Farm Aid also announced "10 Ways to Ensure Healthy Food for You and Your Family". These are concrete steps that consumers can take to protect access to fresh, healthful food, grown in local communities by family farmers who care for the land.

MUSIC REVIEW | FARM AID
HEARTFELT MUSICAL FEAST PAYS TRIBUTE TO FARMERS

Monday, September 8, 2003
FEATURES - ACCENT & ARTS 07B
By Aaron Beck
THE COLUMBUS DISPATCH
Illustration: Photo

Before meals of food or music, Willie Nelson knows only a low-down cur of a man wouldn't pause and give thanks.

As the 10 hours of Farm Aid music began yesterday in Germain Amphitheater, the inexhaustible 70-year-old Farm Aid founder, along with a group of American Indians in ceremonial garb, blessed 20,000 fans for spending their Sunday honoring farmers who call what they do farming and not agribusiness.

This meeting of popular musicians and common men felt like a giant party -- well-balanced with heartfelt speechifying, joyous music with a bit of dirt and grease on it and, of course, beach-ball battles throughout a perpetually smiling audience stuffed with homegrown foodstuffs.

Politely received 20-minute sets by a Willie and Bobbie Nelson side band Titty Bingo, the rocked-up honky-tonk band Trick Pony, Billy Bob Thornton, Hootie & the Blowfish, Los Lonely Boys, Daniel Lanois and Emmylou Harris rounded out the afternoon's sounds.

Into the evening, Sheryl Crow and country anthem makers Brooks & Dunn packed much action into lean, fat-free sets. The latter delivered the only arena-ready props of the day (20-feet-tall, inflatable cowgirls atop saddles). The former delivered lively, pop-laced blues-rock, a cover of Nick Lowe's (What's So Funny 'Bout) Peace, Love & Understanding? and Picture sans duet partner Kid Rock.

The music of Nelson and fellow Farm Aid "board members'' John Mellencamp, Neil Young and Dave Matthews provided more meat of the day's musical meal.

Matthews followed Crow's superb set with effective acoustic takes on Too Much, which he dedicated to "industrial and corporate farmers,'' and Gravedigger, a song from his upcoming album.

Mellencamp's set was a feisty run through tracks from Trouble No More, his new album of reworked blues, country and soul songs.

Andy York, on slide guitar, provided the backbone for Death Letter, John the Revelator and Stones in My Passway. Before he played To Washington, Mellencamp asked the crowd to consider President Bush's decision to spend billions more in Iraq. The crowd cheered and booed -- or perhaps they were yelling "Coooooug''?

Mellencamp further prodded any right-wingers with Highway 61 Revisited, changing "rovin' gambler'' to "Texas gambler tryin' to start the Third World War.''

Young & Crazy Horse continued the mood with a monstrous version of Hey Hey, My My (Into the Black).

Upon finishing, Young, who wore a red T-shirt that read "Stop Factory Farms,'' said, "Welcome to Farm Aid'' as if all that had come before was a wee appetizer.

Young awakened sun-baked brains with his spine-tingling set that included an extended jam with Nelson and his guitar, Trigger, on Down by the River and Country Home. Other tunes included the fitting Homegrown, an ode to another alternative way of farming; Rockin' in the Free World, a song never played the same way but always played with the same never-surrender attitude; and, naturally, Be the Rain.

Nelson strolled to the stage as deadline called at 11:10 p.m.

From the Columbus Dispatch: Wednesday Sept. 10

Concert Volume Still Monitored
Westerville recording amphitheater events for possible violations

Willie Nelson played late into the night as the closing act of Farm Aid on Sunday at Germain Amphitheater.

But whether he and his fellow musicians also played too loudly will be the tale of the tape.

A Westerville City Crew was there Sunday, as it is at evey concert, to record the proceedings.

When the 2003 season ends, Westerville will hire an acoustical engineer to review tapes from a few concerts to determine whether they violated the city's noise ordinance, said Mike Wasylik, Westerville's assistant city mananger.

Only those acts that clearly smashed the permitted sound barrier will be reviewed, Wasylik said.

The Westerville ordinance limits noise in residential areas around the outdoor theater. On a weekend night, the permissible noise levels drop after 10p.m., said Scott McAfee, Westerville's community affairs director. The city of Columbus, where the amphitheater is located, has agreed to allow Westerville to enforce its noise ordinance.

When Sunday's concert ran until Midnight. Amphitheater operators apparently violated their development agreement with Columbus that events won't last beyond 11p.m. Wasylik said. But Columbus did not cite the amphitheater.

McAfee said that concert acts don't have to comply with a curfew.

Wasylik said, "They can play all night long in Westerville as long as they don't violate our noise ordinance."

Westerville is suing Germain Amphitheater in Deleware County Common Pleas Court, charging noise violations in 2001 and 2002.

the city said four acts violated the ordinance in 2001: Ozzfest, Journey, Destiny's Child and John Mellencamp. In 2002, Westerville said, there were seven apparent noise violators: Usher, Melissa Etheridge, Mellencamp, Lenny Kravitz, the Dave Matthews Band, Rush and Aerosmith.

Violating the noise law is a fourth-degree misdemeanor. The amphitheater hasn't been cited.

Wastlik said Westerville is seeking a court order that would force the amphitheater to keep the noise down.

"Our objective is not to collect fines," he said. "We're asking them please to turn it down a little bit and control the people who are working at your facility."

Tracy Hedrick, marketing director for Germain, declined to comment on the suit.

A citizens group, Society of Noise Abatement at Polaris, supports Westerville's lawsuit.

Michael Wintering, a Westerville lawyer and member of the citizens group, said the amphitheater is doing better at keeping the noise down this year but he still would give it a grade of C minus.

"Its still not enough," Wintering said. "They need to keep improving. There are times that noise filters through."
